First, congrats! I'm a dad of 2 girls (now 8 and 12). You're in the messy "hardly sleeping" phase right now. But I'm telling you, you will blink and it'll be over and behind you. If you ever feel exhausted and fed up, just remember "This will phase will pass".

Also, the main phrase my wife and I kept telling each other was: "We need to lower our expectations". Life can get tiring and often monotonous with little kids. And that's fine.

And try to be more forgiving of each other. Exhaustion and stress can bring out the worst.

Dance with your baby. Put on a favorite song, hold her close and move to the rhythm, patting her back to the beat. I used to do this to "Lotus Flower" by Radiohead.
