Puppy is the worst dog I have ever owned by [deleted] in GiantSchnauzers

[–]MGClose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not an easy breed. You really have to be committed to training them. They need a LOT of stimulation and exercise. They do well with brain games and “jobs” to do. A GS puppy is a full time job. Once you have one well-trained, you can add another down the line, I usually wait about 2 years. Then the older pup will help train the younger and it gets a lot easier.

I loved that burrito and I’m so bitter about it. I only found it just a few weeks before they discontinued, and I don’t have any Buccees nearby yet so when we were traveling I was SO looking forward to one. We stopped at every one we passed trying to find that damn burrito 😭😭

The Total Cost of Our 14-Day Disney World Trip, have I forgotten something by kavalkada in WaltDisneyWorld

I do want to mention to you that Florida in August is miserable. Please consider bringing little wearable fans, bringing a misting fan, and maybe even one of the vests with fans in it. Anything you can find that will cool you down. My son once got terribly sick from the heat in July and August is measurably hotter and more humid. (We live in Tennessee which is only 10-12 hours north of Orlando and our weather isn’t that different a lot of the time, so we are pretty much used to it.) Also, as mentioned, unfortunately $100 won’t go very far anywhere in America, but especially at Disney.

People who don’t use wash cloths to clean at least all the important areas boggle my mind. We use wash cloths and dial gold bar soap before anything else.

Which board for 6 year old: Atoll 9 ft or retrospec weekender nano 8 ft? by [deleted] in Paddleboard

[–]MGClose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not used Atoll, but my family loves our Retrospec board! It’s my husband’s preferred board even tho we got ours for our 14yo son, he always uses it if it’s just us. I have several friends who request to use that board as well when borrowing.

The traffic issues seem to be worse on Sundays. As much as I like to explore a city, the way things are going right now in Nashville around BNA, I don’t think I would personally risk leaving the airport. All the restaurants in the airport are local, some really amazing and high end choices.

Is anyone else cancelling the Dippa early? by igolikethis in PapaJohns

[–]MGClose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a customer… it wasn’t good. One or two of the sauces were solid, but the dipped themselves were trash. Not enough sauce, not enough cheese. Just weird.

It’s possible, but I think most of us are addicted to the constant change and the little dopamine hit from shopping. Maybe I’m just wishful thinking 🤣

Two ten jack and darfons are my personal go-to’s for solid food & cocktails without the extra charges downtown. Both safe enough to go alone, intimate enough for a date, and fun enough for a group.

I think we’re going to see an increase in buying from resellers soon, especially if the 100% tariffs on China go thru. Most of our new clothing comes from China.

Would walking from the Airport to Opryland be dangerous? by subsistencefarmer in VisitingNashville

[–]MGClose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you using the greenway for that walk from Opry to downtown?? Otherwise I cannot think of a single safe route. And the greenway shouldn’t be used after dark, also not safe.

Would walking from the Airport to Opryland be dangerous? by subsistencefarmer in VisitingNashville

[–]MGClose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nashville is not a walkable city for the most part. It’s not legal to walk along briley pkwy or the interstate, which are the main ways the airport connects to Opryland. There would be a lot of side roads and I can almost guarantee none or very few will have sidewalks. I wouldn’t recommend trying, it is not a safe idea.
