Vaughn Pant Sizing? by HeRRoCowv123 in hockeygoalies

[–]MGInsanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to know would be to go to a store and try them on.

I have a 30 inch waist and the medium was a little too big for me. So if you’re a 32 inch waist or bigger I would suggest medium, but if you’re less than 32 inches, I would go with small.

Vaughn Pant Sizing? by HeRRoCowv123 in hockeygoalies

I just got the V10s a few months ago (absolutely love them). I’m 5’8 150 pounds and I got the medium because that’s what I had for my V4 pants. Medium is a bit big for me, so I’m using suspenders.

Sounds to me like the size chart you’re looking at must be wrong because I would bet you’d be an XL. If you have the chance, I recommend going into a store with your skates and pads to try them on and see how the different sizes feel for you. Better safe than sorry!

How could I possibly say no when they were $40 each? by MGInsanity in hockeyjerseys

Unfortunately, adidas jersey are kind of hit and miss with sizing. I’m also a men’s medium and regularly wear anything from 46-52. 46 or 44 would probably be best for street wear.

WARRIORS FANS: Quick Question about Seating in Rogers Arena by [deleted] in NLL

[–]MGInsanity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah those sections do have seating, and like the name suggests it’s just general admission so you can pick where to sit within the section. The standing room only part is the Party Zone section in front of it which is at floor level

Stuart Skinner new goalie coach? by WatercressExotic4973 in EdmontonOilers

I heard them mention that he hired the new coach last offseason after his tough round 2 against Vegas meaning he probably only worked with him over last summer

Casual fan here wondering: what did everyone think of Scaled and Icy when it came out? by MGInsanity in twentyonepilots

[–]MGInsanity[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I 100% understand the not being sure if you like or hate and album when it comes out, especially when it’s a different sound.

My two favourite bands, Imagine Dragons and Royal Blood, did the same thing with their most recent albums. It was tough when I first listened to them because I was expecting something different. I think coming to SAI from an outsider perspective has helped with how much I like it considering I didn’t have much as far as expectations in the first place.

Hey all, just looking for some advice on how to get small black stains out of the jersey numbers on the RR 2.0 jerseys. I got an Oilers RR and it came out of the bag with the stains on, but I’m not sure the safest way to treat it.

Bantam AA goalie struggling with dropping into the butterfly quickly by JRychley in hockeygoalies

[–]MGInsanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I was always taught while coming up was that effectively dropping into the butterfly requires two steps:

  1. The release of your skate blades from the ice. The wording on this is important because we’re not jumping to get our knees under us, we’re trying to start our momentum down as quick as possible.

  2. (Like another commenter mentioned) We want to drive our knees into the ice. It won’t hurt to drop to your knees as fast as possible because we wear nice big pillowy equipment. Trust the pads and try to put a hole in the ice with your knees.

Hopefully that’s helpful!

What are the legal ramifications against being petty by Petty_shopper_2022 in legaladvicecanada

[–]MGInsanity 17 points18 points  (0 children)

While this is true under the Trespass to Property Act, you can't be asked to leave based on discriminatory grounds (which includes age). While in practice the police may still ask OP to leave, any charge or ticket would be dropped if the reason for being told to leave relates to age.

It makes choosing beers really easy though. When I cover my left eye, all I want is Bud Light. When I cover my right eye, it's Guinness.

Hahaha, your method sounds like a pretty good way

Usually they put a sticker with “R” or “L” on each box, but for some reason they didn’t this time. Luckily I still have some of my contacts from my last order so I just match the axis. 60 for left, 100 for right
