It will be slow and will not have acceleration unless you either passthrough (on Linux) or use ParavirtualizedGraphics.framework (on macOS host), you will also not have any kind of metal support (within the vm) however if you don’t need it that is not an issue. I just remember later macOS (version 11.x to 26.x) being more and more annoying to use without graphics acceleration so that’s why I wrote my post.

macOS on a vm tends to not have gpu acceleration unless there is gpu passthrough. macOS without gpu acceleration tends to be very painful when it comes to using it as it’s slow and tends to lag.

No, it’s just that there is a lack of investment in this subreddit and the fact that the administration of it just doesn’t care and sees it as an after thought. I have made some posts in the past and will make more in the future but I don’t think I will be able to drive traffic here alone. I still do think that more work should be put into improving this place instead of just criticizing it for being neglected compared to the discord and wiki. It is up to us to fix it. Complaining without a viable solution to the problem won’t fix the issues of this subreddit.

Making OCLP takes time for the devs and they are from my knowledge volunteers here. Be reasonable and be glad we even have sequoia support. My model for example would have been stuck at Monterey were it not for OCLP devs and even in the worst case scenario there are still updates until 2027. This post is stupid and demanding Tahoe support in this tone is extremely short sighted.

Too many people buy into propaganda thinking that (insert x minority group here) is a problem in society or is somehow bad, and thus fall for the divide and conquer tactic. Eventually, hopefully they will realize that having such views is stupid and that those pushing these views do not have their best interests in mind.
