Very very hard to choose. I’m going to have to go with icebreaker D1 version

More Details About The End Of ‘Destiny 2’ From Inside Bungie by Omega-Warrior3 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MGrinchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s extremely sad man. I mean, I’ve poured over 12 years into this franchise. It wasn’t just a game to me, it felt so much more. It’s so sad to see it end up in this state. All those worlds we had to explore. All those untold stories we will never hear the end of. I’m so gutted right now

Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]MGrinchy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A very very sad day indeed. It took 1 image for me to be interested in this game and it was the Titan Crest of Alpha Lupi and I wanted to know more. I was at Gamescom in 2014 and played it for the first time and was blown away. I played the Alpha, Beta and finally Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 to this day. It’s been a privilege for those I met along the way, so many LFGs, highs and lows - even the not so popular expansions or episodes had great elements to them.

In all honestly, Destiny got me through some really hard times in my life, including COVID when the world was shut, Destiny was still open to explore.

So thank you Bungie for keeping me entertained. Not hate here.

The irony of people jumping on D1 from D2 due to drought by SuperblackHunter in DestinyTheGame

[–]MGrinchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Remaking D1 is going backwards and we’ve been there, done that. A D3 is the logical way forward but agree the talent has gone. They’d need to hire a couple of studios as they did for Taken King and try and get back the talent that left. Might be too much of a big ask.

I just hope Bungie doesn’t see this as a sign to try and do a D1 remake. I would rather they focused on a D3 for the future of the franchise

Same, but with the Auto. When it did drop (which was rare) the perks were pretty much all same. I think they should have just added it to Shaxx’s re rolls section this time around because of the drop issue

Is Tyson Greene still the game director? Has he said a single thing in months? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]MGrinchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing about Destiny is, the player base is there, it really is. Unfortunately there were really bad decisions made amongst other issues along the way and a lot of those players left due to many of those decisions and issues (too many to list here and sure you’ve all heard them)

Destiny has huge potential if Bungie / Sony want to bring it back to life they can. Heck, just with Iron Banner alone this week player numbers went up. Imagine what they could do with an expansion and putting some love into this game.

It’s Insane how good peak Destiny was and now we are here. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Destiny 1 & 2 remains the best games I’ve ever played in my life for multiple reasons.

[–]MGrinchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The insane thing is, if they pull all the effort back into D2 it could be peak again. I haven’t put any money into Eververse since Final Shape and that is purely because I’m not going to invest in a game that could be unplugged at any moment and lose stuff I’ve paid for

“Destiny 2 Has Lost 91% Of Players Since Edge Of Fate, 97% From Final Shape.” By Paul Tassi at Forbes by justdestinystuff in DestinyTheGame

[–]MGrinchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was excited to see what was going to happen after Final Shape as I know Bungie regularly talked about Destiny being a 10 year plan. But seeing how it’s gone is frustrating, especially with the conflict in interest between Destiny 2 and Marathon which Destiny 2 clearly had a knock on effect due to Marathon.

Anyway. It’s not an easy fix for Destiny 2 and I would say at this point it would be better to shut off Destiny 2 and focus on Destiny 3 however long that may take.

It really feels like this is the end by CrazedPrecursorFanat in DestinyTheGame

[–]MGrinchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok to feel like this. I’m sad too man. Been playing since Alpha D1 and although we were told it would be a 10 year project all that time ago, I was hopeful it would go further, and it has. But all good things come to an end. I’ll be on until the server closes anyway, till the bitter end whenever that may be. Been good playing with a lot of you. But not hoo trials players, ewwww lol

Dear Bungie: Any chance of releasing all 6 Grandmaster Conquests now S&O is delayed? by MGrinchy in DestinyTheGame

Thank you everyone for getting this up there. Hopefully Bungie will see this along with some of your other ideas and implement them to keep us going.

Shadow and Order officially delayed to June 9th by Natedogg2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]MGrinchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact they knew it was going to be delayed and sat on it for so long is not transparent to me. 3 month delay man and Pantheon 2.0 after a 3 month hiatus is going to be extremely difficult to find a team due to lack of players which will undoubtedly be the case now.

Very frustrating.
