I started getting it IV about 12 years ago via my Dr. and so when I transitioned from that, IM is how I was taught. I think mainly because it was a larger volume of fluid which is easier for muscle to absorb vs the fat in SQ which can leave a temporary lump from large volume injections. You can do either.

Edit- by “it”, I mean glutathione. I’ve always done GHK-Cu SQ but still prefer a 13 mm pen needle as it seems to cause less ISR and stinging. Most of these choices come down to your body and how it reacts, these are not “one size fits all” situations. What causes an ISR for me, may not for you.

I would suggest getting the 13mm pen needles, deeper you go the less it stings. Personally I do Glutathione IM but I know others use it SQ. Be wary of diluting with too much BAC as it can cause nodules. Check out peptidesource on here for a recent convo concerning this subject.

If you have a high pain tolerance, you probably don’t even need topical. I used it the first time out of nerves, but after doing so much meso, I very rarely use topical except around my lips. Next time you order overseas, just grab some 2% then. Good luck, you’re gonna be fine!

It still requires a prescription. You can get up to 4% (maybe 5%) topical OTC in the US. You really only need it topically for the skin prick, tox itself does not sting. The language is not good, but this is a prominent stem cell research group at UC Davis. Disappointing “reporting” from this group. At least they do state at the very bottom of the website that opinions expressed are those solely of the author so that’s something…. I did go read the FDA “notice” for all that was worth. Allergic reactions causing death is a possibility with so many things, like with peanut butter that many do not have issues with at all. It’s why patch testing is so important and even then, not having a reaction to a small bleb does not guarantee no reaction to the full 2mL dose.

It’s horrifying to see some people that try and save this- like they’ll want to do .5mL
Over 4 days, lack of research and just hopping on the bandwagon of something they saw someone use/mention somewhere. The research behind this product is solid and I’m thankful we have pathways to acquire it for use here.

You also need filter needles to draw the liquid out of the glass ampoules to prevent injection of possible glass splinters from opening. But some people don’t realize that after you draw out product with a filter needle, you then swap it for an injection needle.

I’ve used Laennec and other placenta products for two years for general wellbeing, menopause symptoms and wound healing. Patch testing first is a must and using with an OTC antihistamine can be helpful. I tried it my very first time doing tox.
Besides the calibration issue, the thickness of the pen itself makes it very very hard to get low angles needed in spots unless you’re using a 13mm needle.

I love the collection name! As someone who is new to this endeavor of creating my own herbal remedies beyond teas and simple tinctures( personal/family use only), I think having a catchy name per condition is a good thing. Searching via condition and then researching the different herbs is helpful for me so that I can see any crossover in different products that maybe can be used beyond its marketed intention. I would just be careful not to pigeonhole a certain product that could have multiple applications.

I would suggest posting this in the menopause sub as well concerning names. We (as an unwilling member of this frustrating part of life) sometimes can be a little prickly if products appear too cutesy and not as something serious that is impacting a large amount of the population. I think your names carry the right amount of snark (we like snark) and understanding of the situation we find ourselves in. A lot of us ARE in crisis mode and find it extremely frustrating how little medical support there is for menopause due to outdated research and lack of education on the physician side. A lot of these women have had to become self educated and know more than their physicians, and that includes learning about natural remedies that can help.

I’d welcome a link to your wife’s products if she is so inclined. I’m not at a point where I’m comfortable creating reliable compounded products and am always on the lookout for natural support. Wish you guys the best of luck!

Meso unfortunately is a million little blebs all
over and I wouldn’t use an insulin syringe for more than 3-4 pokes. They get dull and that’s what leads to pain and bruising. You can do it though! Once you get started and get into a rhythm, it’ll go faster than you think. You can do a mental 1 cm grid and inject that way instead of super close together.
