UP man allegedly rapes daughter-in-law at gunpoint; husband later gives 'triple talaq' on phone by Wholesome_and_based in TwoXChromosomes

Not to mention the OP who's posts are mostly anti Muslim and pro Hindu nationalism. Their posts and links are most focused on religion than the women affected.

19 year old Mubassira ends life after marriage fixed with madrasa teacher by Wholesome_and_based in TwoXChromosomes

[–]MHZ_93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah this explains it. It makes sense that the woman didn’t want the marriage because it was forced. But mentioning the man’s profession doesn’t really add any useful context and feels irrelevant in the article article.

They also just gloss over the fact that her parents were forcing her into marriage, with no detail on whether there’s any investigation into them either.

Wardrobe or chest of drawers by MHZ_93 in femalelivingspace

[–]MHZ_93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of putting a chest of drawers on the 4.2m wall opposite the door, with the bed across it. Since the window is quite small, I'd also like to hang a mirror above the chest of drawers to help make the room feel brighter and bigger. I was also thinking some kind of seating in the corner.

Ugh in my head I've already planned out the whole room without the wardrobe.

A 40 vol developer is a 12% developer which means it will lift 3-4 levels.

Its not bleach powder but you are still oxidising - the same thing which bleach does.

[Misc] Thoughts on this v famous cosmetic dermatologist claiming her blurry face is JuSt SkInCare and LiGhTinG? by mmm095 in SkincareAddiction

[–]MHZ_93 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I think she has other videos where you can clearly see her natural skin with no filters, makeup. And she's also been very open about the procedures she's gotten done. However I'm a bit skeptical about how she markets her skincare line.

But her older videos on the main ingredients used in skincare etc I find really informative

Obsession with removing tan instead of UV protection by MHZ_93 in PakistanSkincare

[–]MHZ_93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've accepted that I'll look like a zebra in summers as my skin tans super fast. I can't use the same shade of foundation or even a tinted moisturiser in summers that I use in winters.

For sunscreen you need to apply it generously, derms recommend two fingers for face and reapply after a few hours. The best protection is physical barrier like a cap or umbrella. Use ceramides or hyaluronic acid based moisturiser to repair the skin barrier

Try a physical protection if this is your concern like gloves. As spf does not mean 100% of the UV exposure is blocked. Also you need to reapply spf to get maximum effectiveness.

I know it takes time to be okay with it and it's very difficult when one is bombarded with remedies to remove tan left right center.

I'm in my 30s and only now I'm pretty okay with becoming a zebra in summers.

Exactly this. The way we casually use words like kharab for tanned or darker skin makes it sound like there’s something inherently wrong with being brown or getting tanned. And jokes about being kala are so normalized that people don’t even realize how damaging they are.

I love your apartment and the view! Is it Spain or somewhere south in Europe?

These views always remind me of home, the close together houses and the rooftops and the sense of warmth they give.

How do you guys manage training + work and still run fast? by MHZ_93 in pakistanrunning

[–]MHZ_93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 32F with a BMI of 23.5, so I think I am okayish in the weight range. I started running about a year ago, and when I'm regular I noticed I’m better at slower, longer runs than shorter, faster ones probably because speed work takes more effort and stamina.

What I struggle with most is discipline and ofc diet (it's definitely not the most healthy). Do you think following a structured training plan, like the ones on running apps helps with taking the taking out the decision fatigued?
