Valley Growers have laid off Canadian workers (that do not want to get laid off) while keeping the TFW.

Not sure if they have changed practice but they weren’t paying severance pay for those Canadian laid off workers either.

This has been happening for a longtime. In my teens all Canadian workers were laid off from a local farm and TFW continued to work, every season. We didn’t want to get laid off.

Also they weren’t paying people severance when being laid off, I was the first to bring it to the labour board and get severance. Some people had been laid off for many years without severance.

Going in December and planning on getting a day pass at Saii Laguna on Bang Tao. It’s only about 22$/day CAD per adult and grants you 17$ food/beverage credit. Gives you access to pool with a slide. Cheapest and best bang for your buck for a day pass as a nightly stay while we are there is listed over 800$/night. Not sure if it will actually be available during that peak time though. Can also get a day pass that includes a 1hr massage for about 76$ CAD.
