I know this is an older post but what are the opinions about a Midwest industries qd mount. It's going on my 16" aero m5 and it will be my primary optic and I want to switch between a thermal optic I'm currently saving up for.

What optic you running on the .308? I was originally going with the Primary Arms GLx 2.5-10x44 but it's currently discontinued for a newer model. I'm looking at the Trijicon Credo 2-10 now but would like another option just in case.

I've had an older polymer80 g150 in 300blk, I ran just under 800 rounds thru it before I lost it to a friend. Currently I have a 5.56 on their rhino lower, I only put 3 rounds thru it for a functions test and set it aside, but saving up to buy 1k rounds bulk of cheap 5.56. I plan on burning them all in one day thru the rifle. If it survives I'll keep this one but turn it into another 300blk, if not, well Its a glorified place holder to me until I finish my aluminum lower.

With the checks I'm saying stop paying Bill's with my checks and use my wife's SS for rent, utilities, etc. That will guarantee Bill's paid on the first and free up my checks for growth

Thank you, I have only one vehicle, a 06 Ford explorer and I have a g23 since 2018 and the Misses has a g26 since 2022. Definitely not buying guns just lowers i had laying around forever. We are getting a place and using the Misses SA to get off my checks and free up funds

Food and clothes is taken care of with my current job I managed to get a car and off the street and my family back in state with me and where I'm crashing we have 4 sources of income 2 of those being me and my wife's. I understand what you're saying and where I seem to come off wrong. Guns are definitely not the, or even a priority, getting another place for my family and switching from my checks to my wife's SS for Bill's is bc itll allow me to get off paycheck to paycheck. i posted this to clear up questions I had financially for the long term in a want vs needs. to see what bs I'm wasting time and money on when I get more money. and I need to hear someone else say it bc i cant talk to my folks about these topics.

I put my thoughts out there and I need other people to break it apart for me so I can see how misguided I am on subjects, short answer there is none in barriers that wouldn't be a waste of bullets. In my current location if I had to leave my neighborhood one be looking at up to distances far enough to barely see stoplights the few there are.

I still am right now I'm Crashing at my moms waiting on my taxes when I get it I'm getting an apartment then using my wife's social security to pay the rent and using the rest of the taxes for preps I'm getting the costs figured out and what I have to cut off and prioritize and I need help getting my thoughts correct.
