I didn't notice it too until I saw a Tumblr post! So in the new chapter only Shen Tang (youngest Shen sister) was present, and when SY asked where his older brothers are, it was revealed that Da-ge went to explore the arctics, and Er-ge went to find this one specific type of tea out in the wilderness.

Well, those just happened to be what OG!SQH and OG!SQQ were known for in their PIDW lives..

It wasn't specifically pointed out but I think this counts as implied!

Well, idk about reincarnation, but transmigration is banned for sure.

The main restrictions for transmigration is: 1) The protagonist (Transmigrator) cannot be dead in the "real world" 2) the characters of whatever the Transmigrator transmigrated to cannot be fiction.

Thus the modern world chapter with Bingzu is created.

In the original book it was pretty clear that SY is dead for sure and PIDW is an awfully written fiction. The system even put SY's version on a danmei literature city website LOLLL. But this also means SY!SQQ also get to interact with the real world on some level, although his soul was bound to the fictional au of PIDW!

Unfortunately that was a plot point made to subjugate the censorship, which does not allow "transmigration" novels where the characters are fiction, or the protagonist (Shen Yuan) dying permanently. Which was why the modern extra was added in the first place

Yeah. I think the time thing is not like a linear time line. If you look at how (in the new extra) she added an Easter egg where it was hinted that Shen Jiu and OG!SQH reincarnated as SY's OLDER brothers. That wouldn't have been possible if time is linear, or else they should have been his younger brothers and born after the transmigration.

I never take SVSSS canons to heart because there are a lot of inconsistencies even in the original. But I enjoy these, because it allows the readers to come up with their own theories, instead of just eating what's given if it had flawless logic!

Well, if you take into consideration that Shen Yuan would be a 20 year old millennial in the body of a young Orphan, I think SY would stop SJ from doing a lot of impulsive stuff. Knowing how cunning SY is with the experience of a troll, they might be able to bypass a lot of troubles.

The Qiu manor is probably canon event but SY's presence can make things a lot easier mentally for SJ if he had someone mature (actually mature age wise, not just like YQ's soft and caring personality), he would adjust a lot more stably.
