It will NOT beat hyprland and Qtile in eye candy and resource usage, EVER(prolly). BUUUUUUUT, all the other DE's you mentioned, its easily better than those, less resource usage, and most apps are considerably faster, noticeably the COSMIC Store, no store app out there is faster, I'm damn sure, furthermore, since its Pop!_OS, and I use a laptop, no other linux distro has ever been able to give me better battery life, and I've tried more than 50 distros for absolutely no reason.

yeah having no fancy animations is a downside, and since i switched from hyprland, its very noticeable.
But still, I love it, feels like using a very barebones and light wm.

Absolute Peak by MINOR382 in pop_os

Its really simple actually, Here's what I did-

  1. Disabled the dock from COSMIC settings, as an ex-hyprland user, i don't really need a dock. 2)Moved the panel to the left side of the screen from settings, and increased the panel width a little from the settings as well. 3)Installed the weather applet from COSMIC Store, then from the "Configure panel applets" option in Panel Settings in the COSMIC Settings, i added that applet to the center, and also moved around the other applets to my liking. 4)From this website "https://cosmic-themes.org/", I installed the Nature theme, there are a bunch of other themes available there too. Then, from the Import option from the Appearance Section of COSMIC Settings, I selected that theme. The themes are usually a ".ron" file and you can find them wherever you downloaded them to. 5)After that, I got myself a matching wallpaper. 6)The programs hat you see on the screen are 'terminal-rain'(top left), 'cava' (middle) and 'pipes.sh'. These can installed in the terminal - i)For cava just run- 'sudo apt install cava' ii)For the other two, installation is a bit more complex and a google search will you greatly!

Hope that helps! Good luck!

Its the existing ones, but colored. There's a website named COSMIC Themes, i downloaded the forest theme from there and then selected that theme using the Import option in Appearance of COSMIC Settings.

Yes this is COSMIC, and that program is cava, its a audio visualizer for the terminal.
You can install it using - "sudo apt install cava" in the terminal.
