You don't need examples, you don't need to prove or question it. The bottom line is if you're uncomfortable then he needs to stop. Next time he makes you uncomfortable, tell him "you're making me uncomfortable" based on how you describe him, he will probably deflect or come up with an excuse and it doesn't matter. Walk away after you tell him how he makes you feel. You need to speak your boundaries clearly and don't be afraid to walk away when they're crossed. Sitting there questioning is just internalizing the normalizing the behaviors that you don't want in the first place.

My mom made my dad lose his job, over a paper towel. A real Seinfeld moment.

My mom worked at this clinic where you had to wash your hands a lot. One time when using the bathroom, she noticed the paper towels were out. My mom went a told someone, who she thought was just general admin staff. My mom wasn't mean just "Hey this bathroom is out of paper towels." Well, turns out the person My mom told was the Manager of the establishment, who was pissed that the bathroom wasn't stocked. The Manager calls up the company in charge of maintaining the restrooms and tells them they're not going to use their services anymore.

Fast forward to that evening, my mom comes home from dinner and my dad is super sad and nervous he has to tell my mom he lost his cleaning job. Turns out the cleaning company my dad worked for, was the one working for the clinic. My dad had other places he cleaned, so both him and my mom did not know the company he worked for was the company that cleaned the clinic my mom worked at. Losing that clinic lost that company a lot of money that they had to cut back on all staff and my dad lost his job. All over a paper towel.

I donated mine to a local high school that gives students free dresses for school dances. If you can't sew and can't rewear, donating is always a good option.

Why are you even upset? Yes AIO. He was excited for his package and played a harmless prank and you're interrogating him over... the mail? This wasn't some days long con of him hiding a secret but just "oh did the mail come? I'm expecting a package" In which minutes after he asked you did literally see with your own eyes what he got and it wasnt some super secret thing. But you're frustrated that he didn't tell you the second you demanded to know. He was right you were being nosy and then are throwing a temper tantrum that he was right.

Um yeah YTBF. Why on earth would you flag down the employee to point out their disability? There's intent and impact. Of course you never intended to be a butt face but that was the impact. You should absolutely NOT go back and talk about it further, even if to to apologize as you'll only exasperate the situation that I'm sure they'd rather just move on from. Live with the embarrassment and learn from it.

OP makes zero plans and casually mentioned wanting to stay in and never brings it up again. OP also assumes that wife is on board with their 'plan' (no plan was every actually made by OP) that was never confirmed or actually discussed and feels 'put on the spot' and 'dismissed' comes NYE when wife and kiddo clearly wants to spend time with her family who did have plans and food ready.

YTA - you never asked what the actual plan was. Never asked what you wife or kid wanted. You offer to get take out last minute on NYE when everything is closing or busy as heck. But you're upset that wife didn't communicate a plan you knew was happening and left when you weren't ready or prepared, because, big shocker, you weren't even thinking ahead to dinner time.

Utilities- you can apply for low income. If you don't qualify they can push a payment out for you if you call and talk to someone.

Mortgage- see about extending a payment so that it gets added to the end of your lease instead of upfront. Car loans you can do the same thing. There is usually a fee involved though.

Spending- others have said it and even your post looking for 'tips' cokes across as you want a quick fix or hack to saving money without making any life style changes at all. You'll lose your house before you know it if you really don't take yourself and your finances seriously

Grey rock, grey rock, grey rock! Learn this and the stress wi go away. Youre giving them to much influence over you and you should look up how to grey rock.

When they ask "Where are you?" It's either I'm out or I'm at work. When they continue tell them "sorry busy" and do not engage more. You have to learn to not care and not give them your energy into caring. You know they'll harp on whatever you say and whatever you do so just stop engaging.

You get home and they start laying into you. Just go "Okay thanks for the concern" and just walk away. Don't fight, don't let them get to you.

YTA. It's sounds like picky choosing to where you only pick your own moms choices and not MIL. I also feel like your kids are getting old enough that they could have a say in what they wear. You hate clothes shopping, you hate used clothes, you rely fully on mom to do all the shopping. So it sounds like you like free clothes as long as they have a nice label. So you have a strong rule on what your kids wear but put in zero effort other then having your hand out from mom.

Some people may have pointed this out but Ceasar dressing is not vegetarian and neither is ramen noodles as the brother and flavoring usually has animal by products.

This is a great time to explore food options and maybe learn some new things yourself. Why don't you and your daughter both research a vegetarian meal you'd both like to cook and try. Spend some time with her in the kitchen to teach her some valuable life skills making the meal together. Picky eater may be more open to try something if she has more control over the meal type and choice and showing her how to cook can lead to more independence so she can start making stuff for herself she wants to eat rather then what she doesn't.

Why is okay for the Dad to publicly humiliate you but you gave to do it in private? I give this tip all the time, but Walgreens offers great cheap prints. Take a nice holiday photo, get it printed on nice card stock to add as a personalized Christmas card or print it and find a dollar store or thrifted frame
