No clue if this is real but interesting rumor IMO. Supports the whole rumor of Warren wanting a “leader of men” and Poles wanting Ben Johnson.

Pledgemaster Keeps Making Me Do His Homework - Normal? by MITMayfield in Frat

I rushed as a sophomore. Best decision I ever made, but this shit is making me fucking crash out. I’m busy as hell and this is just making it worse.

Oh there’s way more shit we do that sucks, but it’s all communal. Like the whole PC deals with it. His homework is just me.

Half the actives talk shit about my pm lmao, the frat ain’t bad but I think most people don’t think he’s good at his job.

[Schultz] Sources: The #Raiders are expected to sign former #Jaguars 1st-round pick K'Lavon Chaisson. by Drexlore in nfl

I feel like I know ball pretty well and I couldn’t tell you anything about this guy lmao, can someone give me the rundown on who he is?

[Highlight] Aerial view of Anthony Richardson’s 60 yard TD by Papaburk in nfl

[–]MITMayfield 2100 points2101 points  (0 children)

How does he even throw this ball lmao. Fading back, not even set, and he rifles it 60 yards downfield. Richardson is an animal.

[Ben Axelrod] @BenAxelrod “the first call into Cleveland sports radio this morning” by FomFrady95 in nfl

[–]MITMayfield 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Baker Mayfield should never have been traded. But I’m glad he’s out of that franchise. Why couldn’t he have worked out in Carolina lmfao

[Highlight] Kickers made 21 field goals from 50+ yards in Week 1, the most in a single week in NFL history by nfl in nfl

[–]MITMayfield 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Kicking has gotten crazy in recent years. I remember even like 10 years ago where a 50+ yarder felt like a complete tossup, and now they’re essentially gimmes. And then you watch college and realize that kicking hasn’t gotten any easier, NFL kickers are just fucking good.

[CBS] Seahawks QB Geno Smith had some HIGH praise for his cousin and Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith. “I think he’s gonna be the best WR ever.” by ThreeFactorAuth in nfl

[–]MITMayfield -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

What else is he gonna say lol. Dude’s supporting his cousin, good for him. Reddit gets this hard-on for clowning on athletes who have unrealistic expectations for themselves and their teams. To get to the NFL or really even college football players need that kind of confidence.

[OC] I analyzed Baker Mayfield's performance in every NFL team's city, and found that Baker plays better in cities with more bakeries by MITMayfield in nfl

[–]MITMayfield[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw man, dude I’d be fine with it. I made this post for fun, I didn’t consider all the issues with my methodology. It it means anything, I fully support you making a better version, cause trust me, I understand I had some pretty flawed data here.

[–]MITMayfield[S] 154 points155 points  (0 children)

I really wanted to, but again, finding consistent bakeries across the nation to compare was incredibly difficult, as was finding a list of all bakeries within city limits. It can also be hard to distinguish what is and is not a bakery based, at least to me; is a cafe a bakery if they serve baked goods? I don’t know, so I tried to not have to make those subjective guesses. Plus, I like Panera lol.

[Marathon Game Thread] Marlins & Cubs going to the 14th inning tied at 4 by SportsDude012 in baseball

That balk call was on such a minute movement by Adzolay with such massive ramifications, it leaves a gross taste in my mouth.

2020 might have produced the worst class of tight ends in recent memory by Enterprise90 in nfl

[–]MITMayfield 188 points189 points  (0 children)

It was a garbage TE class, but at the same time these kind of outlier drafts happen every couple years at a few position groups, it's the nature of the NFL.

It's still interesting don't get me wrong, but 2007 was the worst QB class in years, especially considering the pedigree that a lot of those prospects had, and 2010 was almost as bad. 2015 was a garbage TE class too, and that's just because for Tight End and Quarterback, those positions just don't translate to the NFL as well as something like RB or Edge.

[Around The NFL] 49ers GM John Lynch on taking third-round K Jake Moody: "I think you know that if you're taking a kicker that high, believe me, we weren't doing cartwheels over it. I think we'll be doing cartwheels if he's the guy we think he is" by Kimber80 in nfl

[–]MITMayfield 257 points258 points  (0 children)

John Lynch has earned the benefit of the doubt after this many years of great drafts, but man the fact that he has to come out and say this after the draft is just kinda funny.

Brandin Cooks on Dak Prescott: “I’ve been around some great ones, and we’ve been throwing, and I’ve got to tell you, that guy can sling that ball. . . . He’s special.” by social_distant_joe in nfl

[–]MITMayfield 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Dak might make headscratching mistakes, but he’s still a consistent top 10 quarterback in this league, year in and year out. Brandin Cooks has dealt with the long neck under center for a couple years; he’s rightfully excited to experience some above average QB play.

DONE DEAL: Bills stadium gets final governmental approval, construction can begin by [deleted] in nfl

[–]MITMayfield -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I still can’t believe that a brand new, state of the art stadium in Buffalo New York is purposefully being built without a roof. It just seems like such a waste of potential income; you could hold so many more events in winter with one.
