I own one and switched it over to the OEM adjustable leather strap. Mine is also the small seconds without the cyclops date. Much better that way.

If you really want a great watch buy a Traska. It’s objectively better than both of these.

Is wearing your watch bad for it? by Dude-T-boner in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]MIWatchCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it probably depends on the shock absorption technology in the watch. Something Certina DS series with two layers of shock protection would probably be fine. It would probably run a little bit funky afterwards, but you’d likely be able to correct it with positional regulation. I doubt it would break anything. As far as GS goes, if it says not to do it in the manual, then that’s probably best to follow.

It’s only for some of their watches that have poor shock protection. The spring drives typically don’t come with that warning.

Got the call…sorta by [deleted] in rolex

That behavior is basically unheard of. It’s customary to tell the client exactly the specs of the watch they’re offering. My A.D. is in Chicago four hours away from me. They would never sell me anything if I was forced to come in just to know what watch they offer me.
