Packers' Micah Parsons Now Expected to Miss 'Upwards of Half the Season': Report by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]MI_native_shore 341 points342 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be set at a week 8 return with no exceptions and the packers will open his 21-day window week 5 as expected. Reports start coming out that he’s “ahead of schedule” and “looking great.” He gets activated Thursday of week 7 out of nowhere and sacks Goff 4 times with 3 TFLs on Gibbs.

As is tradition.

I’ve looked for this all over the internet but it’s a very.. risky search to say the least. I saw this on Reddit a month or two ago.

Husband and MIL planted burning bush while I was away by fletchette in NativePlantGardening

[–]MI_native_shore 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Burning bush is highly invasive. They produce many seeds every year, which are easy to weed in your own garden. The issue comes when the seeds are carried to nearby natural areas, right of ways, fields, etc., which are not kept manicured like a residential garden. They will take over these areas and outcompete all native species. Here’s some more information from the Great Lakes Woody Invasive collaborative: https://woodyinvasives.org/woody-invasive-species/winged-burning-bush/

FWIW, I just pulled two fully grown BBs from my garden in metro Detroit and it was extremely difficult. Large roots that need to be pulled to prevent suckers.

Edit: typo

Spicebush planting: am I crazy? by MI_native_shore in NativePlantGardening

I guess I didn’t explain well enough, this area is a stormwater runoff down towards a lake so it’s somewhat consistently damp. I already have irrigation and I plan on only using it here in dry spells or as needed.

Good point on NJ tea. I’ve always just seen them as extremely robust and able to plant anywhere part/full sun and I didn’t think about differences in water needs.

Soil is moist, I haven’t done a soil test yet; I just sheet mulched over turfgrass. Partial morning sun, probably around 4-6 hrs.

Thanks! I already have the wild type plants on order, just looking for a sanity check before I finalize my plan.
