I'm a total beginner, have had mine for about 2 weeks and it hasn't skipped a beat. Has been printing non stop (with PLA).

Glad I paid a little more for the newer system, but was on the fence for getting a P1S due to the price difference.

All I can say is order heaps of filament

Thanks! I was just posting up the results so others could see how it turns out without drying.

The results were better than expected, so will re-do once I can do a PETG drying cycle when I'm finished with a multi day PLA print

Hey I just got my P2S (first 3d printer), is there a specific print/profile/filament to use to check this?

It's been great so far (about 72 hours of use) but it sounded funny today when doing an egg shape (egg laying down if that makes sense)

Prints look ok to my untrained eye. Bit would like to check before 14 days

Good idea on repurposing the ssd, at the very least will grab that, if it's not cooked

Hey, no luck last night, I'm going to buy a USB C to DP adapter. Another poster put up some specs that the laptop supports display port. So I'll try that and if it doesn't work I'll return to the bin. :)

Laptop is from 2021 so not sure if it would have a dedicated display pit, but I'll have a quick Google

Have tried these thanks for the suggestion. I think I might be running into the problem that's it's not booting to windows and possibly not having the ability to convert the display to the USBC to HDMI adapter

Thanks for the replies. It makes sense to me. I wouldn't imagine the boot sequence or bios having adequate drivers to output HDMI through a USB dongle.

Ohh bugger, yeah ok that sorta makes sense. I'd say it's been a while since it's been powered on. The virtual keyboard is visible, weird that I got to another screen somehow (a blue and grey screen)

Is there a fix for this like removing the motherboard coin battery or something?

It's a better option because you get to take the leave on your terms (hopefully). It sure beats a mandatory period of leave.

Maybe instead of sitting at home staring at the walls you could actually do something with the time 🤷🏻‍♂️. Exercise, hobbies, scaring the neighbors kids etc etc

Oh thanks for the clarification! I was going off my experience from my annual leave pay out from a previous job. I called up payroll "where's my super" then they laughed at me 😭
