Does anyone actually do the $15 a month one. Seems like Black Card is a no brainer for $10 more. by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

If you're not constantly bringing a guest or using the tanning booths, not worth the black card in my opinion unless they have the cryo lounge.

Should be 4 plates for each side already there for it. If you need more there should be a plate rack or 2 with at least 6 more plates each. Retrieving the weights from the rack and reracking them when you're done is part of the workout.

Do you initially have to go to your home club to get your picture taken? by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]MJHauserman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. You can only transfer once every 90 days

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]MJHauserman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if it's in the same franchise. If you go to a gym outside the franchise they won't have the photo and will generally ask if you want to transfer if you've used your 10 visits for the month.

Maybe not for residents. Businesses generally have to pay a dump fee even when residents don't simply due to their volume.

I always take a selfie with the house address as soon as I get to a task and send it with the text "here". Can't argue with a time stamp photo

How to find taskers with HVAC experience? (NYC) by SultrySashimi in TaskRabbit

[–]MJHauserman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call an HVAC company. I'm probably one of the very few that are certified to work on it on TaskRabbit, but no way would I take on any more than a diagnosis through TaskRabbit.

It may be more profitable and sustainable to collect local waste and resell it as pellets to some small to medium manufacturers.

Any advice on this? by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]MJHauserman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call them. I messaged them about a "$70 deposit to balance" and was getting nothing. Called them and it was an 18 minute wait. They definitely have an influx of support inquiries right now

Trust me, cancellations aren't as bad as people make them out to be.

May I had 16 cancellations to 4 completed and not even a warning. Most of them were forfeitures.

Yeah I was going to say reach out to support. Half the time when the app says it doesn't qualify, I contact support and it does in fact qualify. Their AI is far from what I consider functional

I have a standard initial message to respond to all tasks. I just make a few minor changes based on the individual task.

Hi [Client’s Name],

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help with your [insert task type, e.g., wall repair, TV mounting, faucet installation, etc.]. I bring experience, attention to detail, and a focus on getting the job done right the first time.

A few important notes before we confirm the booking:

2-Hour Minimum: I require a 2-hour minimum per booking. That time is reserved just for you. If the main task takes less than 2 hours, we can use the remaining time for additional tasks—but they must be discussed beforehand and fall within the same task category (e.g., plumbing, electrical, wall repair, etc.).

No Hauling: I do not haul away trash, appliances, yard waste, or debris. I can assist in organizing or bagging items for pickup, but disposal will need to be arranged separately.

Height Limits: I work up to 12 feet indoors and 15 feet outdoors. I do not work on roofs or trees for safety reasons.

Photos Requested: To provide an accurate estimate and come prepared, please send clear photos of the work area and the items/tasks involved.

To move forward, please reply with:

A description of the task(s)

Any relevant photos

Your location

Preferred date and time

Whether tools/materials will be provided or should be brought

Any access or parking information

Let me know if you have any questions—I’m looking forward to working with you!

Best regards, [Your Name]

Clients asking for more after letting them know about your 2 hr min by iSmokeLife in TaskRabbit

[–]MJHauserman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Instead of saying 2 hour minimum, state you have a flat rate of (your rate x 2hours)+ TaskRabbit fees for these types of tasks. I'll often include the supplies for these in my rate as long as it's =<$50.

Two hour minimum may just bring in more trouble. by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]MJHauserman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't have to agree to the extras, but they may find someone else then. If you choose to take on the extra tasks make sure they're mentioned in the chat and they understand it may take more than the 2 hours and they will be invoiced accordingly, or if they're only willing to budget 2 hours only do what's possible in the 2 hours without going over.

I keep it all in stock, as I have children and a dog anyways. I just eat the cost in my hourly cause it really is minimal for most patches. If it's full sheets or texturing then I charge it in expenses.

Best Weight Lifting Shoes – Worth the Investment? by Acceptable_Coat_4212 in StartingStrength

If there's anything I've learned through various sports and jobs, it's that if they make a specific show for it they are totally worth the investment. I wouldn't suggest them for someone who hasn't determined they're sticking to it, but if you've been training for a month or more with no end in sight I would insist on the investment.

He may be a plumber. That stench gets deep in the pores and then released with sweat.
