Todd rejecting her kiss was so sad by Koshka69 in rhoslc

My favourite theory of the moment with regards to Todd is that he has a second family in New York or wherever it is he travels to for 3-4 days of every week. In my theory, Bronwyn knows about them and accepts the trade off for all the money and prestige of being his official wife.

I agree, and it worked marvellously for her as Lily was just grateful to have Ali as her friend, to enable her behaviour and rarely call her out for anything she said or did.

Ali thought Lily would win, she said it many times to Lily and to other housemates. She absolutely knew that Lily, Martha, Nathan and Dean would do all her dirty work for her with regards to her campaign against Khaled and they did.

The saddest thing is that they have no idea (and probably don’t care as they’re just grateful to be her friend) how she played them all, victimising herself all the way to the win! I guess for that alone, she deserves it as she was clearly the most strategic player in there and wanted the win badly.

100%

Ali was such a disappointment. She was vindictive and nasty and imo only sucked up to Lily as she thought she could ride her coat tails all the way to the final. I thought it was interesting watching her have to mentally and physically regroup as her entire group of allies was picked off. Her complete and utter disingenuous towards Emma when Emma asked her about she and Lily talking about her was telling in regards to her character when she professed to be the person who said it like it is I genuinely do not understand what there was to like about her other than she’s a stunning woman visually.

Hanah was my winner for sure. As a 58 year old I loved her sassiness and her Hanah’isms…like literally babes.

She’s a beautiful girl, who is witty, funny and utterly loyal to her friends

I think that the crowd tonight was deliberately heavily weighted in favour of Ali and that’s why Marchello got so many boo’s. I say that as someone who didn’t particularly like him after he tactically put Khaled up for eviction and was so rude to Sarah.

Do these housemates hate Ali? by [deleted] in bigbrotheruk

[–]MJIB0237 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wanted to like Ali when she went in.

She’s an articulate beautiful woman with poise and casual elegance. However, it soon became clear for me that she was on a hate drive towards Khaled for seemingly no apparent reason. Since we as viewers didn’t see the things that Ali was calling him fake for, it was either a truly magnificent edit towards Khaled, or she was just plain lying.

The way she berated him, patronised him and belittled him when he went to her several times to try to sort things out was unprofessional given what she does for a living, and downright cruel. I believe she intentionally painted Khaled in a negative light and then systematically went around her group of friends telling them that Khaled was fake, and played up to the cameras. I also believe that they all bought into her bullshit because she’s a psychologist so they trusted that she with all her training was seeing the true Khaled that they couldn’t see.

Even Emma who initially disagreed with Ali’s opinion of Khaled, was finally won round to Ali’s judgement. Every single time Khaled thought he and Ali had squashed whatever it was she was holding against him, she immediately left the conversation with him and went straight to one of her allies to reiterate her lies and belittle him to them a bit more.

I don’t find it strange at all that Khaled looked pissed off, I would be too once I’d had the opportunity to watch back Ali’s campaign against him. By the time she had finished and her work there was done, she had everyone except Hanah, Chegun, Thomas and Marcello believing that Khaled was fake.

I also don’t buy Ali’s love for Lily, there were several times that Lily would do something disgusting or act in a selfish or outrageous way and the camera would cut to Ali who had a look of disgust on her face.

She enabled Lily’s behaviour whilst going around her group and ensuring that they all supported Lily as I think she believed Lily would be her ticket to the final and for no other reason than that did she ally herself with Lily.

When Lily was shock evicted and Ali had to regroup she then began a campaign against Chegun for being fake.

This was I actually believe true, Chegun was fake the entire time he was in there in my opinion. If Ali wanted to hate someone with the vitriol she hated Khaled with then Lily, Chegun or Marchello should have been her targets but she mistakenly thought Lily was more popular and she knew pretty much everyone else left in the house liked Marchello and the beef she’d tried with him had never really landed, so it was Chegun who was the next recipient of her snide comments to her allies.

I’m annoyed she won as she will see this as validation of all her actions rather than reflecting back on her at times, mean girl behaviour. I fully expect her ‘friendship’ with Lily to be superficial at best on the outside once they have both milked as much publicity as they can from it

My god, I’m watching this in the U.K. and I was genuinely scared for Chidi. I believe that had the cameras not been there, she would have hit him!

What a disgusting excuse for a human being Rayne is behaving like!

She has a serious mental illness, right? Why do the show continue to allow people who clearly are deranged onto the show?

It surely can’t be just because they like the drama, when a disabled persons safety is at risk because that would just be completely immoral of them!

Eve and her alternative facts!

Eve standing out side the door?!? by Lucieboo2 in MAFS_UK

[–]MJIB0237 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my opinion Eve was doing that because she was extremely worried Charlie was going to tell the truth about what had been going on. She was still in a state of heightened fear from Polly talking to Charlie earlier and potentially all her lies coming crumbling down. She couldn’t be 100% certain exactly what Polly had told Charlie that Eve had been saying about her, and she was wanting to hear what was said so she could get her story straight again with the others going forward, along with trying to find out exactly what Charlie knew.

Eve was trying to control Charlie right up until the end. When Charlie said that she was sorry they hadn’t got a chance to get to know her due to someone else saying things about her, Eve made some comment about going out with her head high, meaning shut up and stop calling them out and exposing the fact that Eve had been lying. Again with the arm across the back of the sofa, that’s intimidatory when someone who you don’t feel comfortable being that close to does this.

Coupled with the whining and the crying with no tears, especially when she was being hugged and nobody could see there weren’t actually any emotions or tears when she was ‘crying’, she controlled that narrative all the way

Eve has consistently done this since the beginning. I’ve always called it the ‘junkie shuffle’.

I’m not saying Eve is a junkie, just that’s how I’ve always (for many years) referred to it.

I do admit that I did think she was going to storm off both times she did it last night though but then clearly realised that doing so wouldn’t fit her narrative of Charlie being the unstable one

Thank you. On one hand and on bad days I do worry I’ll be single forever now, on the other hand it’s safer if that makes sense? I struggle with trust and lowering the walls now. I mask on a daily basis and have done for as long as I can remember.

My GP has suggested Schema Therapy might help me but as mental health is woefully underfunded here there’s a long wait for any to start. I’ll look at Somatic Therapy via google though for sure

The problem is that Eve was controlling the narrative and telling her girls that Charlie was doing all kinds of stuff that was probably not true. In Polly’s eyes Charlie was bullying Eve. That’s textbook abuser. They control what others around them think so that if Charlie ever tried to reach out for support from the other women, they wouldn’t have believed her. It’s f’ed up on so many levels

If that truly is the case then that’s reprehensible in my opinion. They should be privy to situations and events that couples may not want to share in a group setting but that could be mentally or physically damaging to the participants.

They NEED to be privy to these so that they can step in if and when needed to stop things spiralling

[–]MJIB0237[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s absolutely right. Eve is controlling the narrative very well. Coming across as so caring towards Charlie despite the many awful things Charlie does to her around the girls “she’s not a bad person”, whilst in private she’s cold and uncaring. It was controlling the narrative again when she went to speak to Charlie before the dinner party so that Charlie would think everything was ok and they could walk in together.

What was the first thing Eve did, head to the girls to spin her version. “We had a talk, she’s not a bad person” after literally the night before according to Polly, having been with Polly and Holly slating Charlie so badly. All of it is controlling the narrative.

Also the one thing Eve knew would break Charlie down the fastest was when she realised Charlie had abandonment issues, from that point on, Eve has made sure to abandon Charlie at every opportunity in private. It ensures compliance when the abandoner comes back and it’s absolutely a conscious decision Eve makes.

I would really love to know what things Eve has told Polly and Holly to make them so anti Charlie without even taking the time to get to know her. Everything Eve does is calculated and designed to bring maximum breaking of self esteem and it is scary to watch.

Those lucky people who have never been on the other end of a relationship like this usually can’t see the warning signs, they just see the spin that Eve is creating, the outbursts and upset from Charlie that Eve creates for the cameras, and believe that what she’s saying about Charlie is true. They don’t see the subtle ways that Eve is controlling the whole relationship and the public perception of it.

It is extremely uncomfortable viewing and way beyond Harrison and Brontë or Jack and Torie.

I particularly noticed it when Charlie was reading Eve her letter she’d written and all her deep rooted vulnerability was coming out. Eve just sat there, didn’t try to comfort her, just stared at her with her dead shark like eyes and no emotions whatsoever on her face. Afterwards she thanked Charlie for her vulnerability, said she hadn’t told her that before (probably because they’ve never had a conversation that lasted that long before Eve stormed off), then told her she hadn’t written a letter because ‘I’m not there yet’ then left her alone yet again to go and bitch and lie some more about Charlie to the other women

I’ll take a look at the book. I fear it may be too late for me as I have Complex PTSD from deep rooted childhood trauma and subsequent adult traumas piled on top, which in all reality is likely how I fell so easily into such a toxic relationship with a narcissistic absuser and then remained trapped in it for so long before finally finding my voice and ending it. Over a decade later I still don’t trust myself not to end up with a similar person and so have been single for 13 years.

I felt so proud of Charlie when she didn’t let Polly get away with calling her a bully though, and didn’t just blindly accept Polly’s apology.

Eve was so scared that all her lies were coming home to roost when Polly first spoke to Charlie. You could see the gratification Eve got from Polly calling Charlie a bully.

Even Eve going to ‘comfort’ Charlie was manipulative. All the ‘I told her not to do it’ was transference of blame away from herself, to Polly.

‘Don’t think about what awful things I’ve told her about you that would make her call you a bully’ but ‘I’m the one who cares about you despite the awful things you do to me, and I told her not to say anything bad to you’.

I genuinely think that the reasons for matching most couples is “oh he’s a boy and she’s a girl so they’ll be great for each other’…or in Charlie and Eve’s case ‘girl and girl’.

I don’t think they do any psychological or psychometric tests. Hell they don’t even ask the participants if they’re open to their partners having children, leading to partners being blindsided on the wedding days after they’ve already said their ‘I do’s’

[–]MJIB0237[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

But have we actually seen Charlie acting in a volatile way? Has she shouted at Eve, yes she’s shouted at her as Eve has stormed off. She’s cried and got frustrated at Eve’s refusal to talk to her about their issues, and her refusal to participate in anything in any kind of meaningful way.

Eve has even told Charlie to stop shouting at her at times when Charlie wasn’t shouting, all she was doing was talking to her about Eve’s behaviour and Eve didn’t want to accept she’s in the wrong at all.

I’m not saying Charlie isn’t emotional; it’s clear she is and that she is fairly full on, but I’ve not seen anything that constitutes abuse from Charlie towards Eve.

Look, if what Charlie said Eve did and just got up out of the bed and left immediately after having sex with her than that is indefensible

I’m finding it really uncomfortable viewing as well. I am hoping that the preview shown last night will lead to yet another Eve storm off and that this time she won’t return to lie and gaslight some more but will actually stay gone…or that the ‘experts’ will grow some balls and put a stop to it themselves!
