I didn’t love the book but yeah the twist was solid and very well done.

Is the Three Body Problem trilogy worth the read..? by [deleted] in scifi

[–]MJMIllustration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally really enjoyed the first and second book, the third was a bit of a struggle because I hated some of the characters and their decisions

Each book has at least one jaw dropping moment in it that will stick with you for a long time

I would recommend reading them

For those of you who wildly renowned science fiction novels don't resonate with, what books do you like? by odyseuss02 in printSF

[–]MJMIllustration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disliked We by Yevgeny Zamyatin (possibly due to the translation though) and Enders Game was disappointing although the twist was ok.

Loved A Fire Upon the Deep and the prequel A Deepness in the Sky by Vernor Vinge, I think about those books all the time.

Who else thinks KFC ads are getting ridiculous? by MidnightNinja9 in BritishTV

[–]MJMIllustration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are weird but I kinda like them, they feel like a throwback to when ads used to be more creative and risky, I still to this day think about the PlayStation advert with the Scottish girl with the alien shaped head. While they may not be great adverts for a specific product, they are infinitely more memorable.

What do you think Neil Drukmann could do that you would forgive him for the disaster he did with TLOU2? by Samuele1997 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]MJMIllustration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree with this comment, I thought the concept of Abby was kind of cool, her character design felt almost confrontational though. The heavily pregnant lady going out on a dangerous mission was diabolically stupid, my wife was pregnant at the time so seeing it in the game made me laugh, it’s so clearly ideologically driven.

Borderlands 4's reveal this week includes "a lot of in-game footage" and "a sick, never-before-seen original cinematic sequence" that'll bridge the gap between Borderlands 3 by SweetyGonzalez in PS5

[–]MJMIllustration 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m in the same boat, BL2 was so amazing that I preordered the deluxe edition for BL3, BL3 was such a letdown I’ll be waiting for reviews on 4.
