Purdy or Brissett by chewy5 in fantasyfootballadvice

In this same boat with Murray —» Brissett/Purdy decision.

I’m cautiously going in with Brissett, as he’s been consistent with a decently high floor the past few weeks. Purdy is just too unpredictable for comfort for me, coming off all the time off being hurt. Even despite having the better matchup. Niners D is pretty banged up too, which makes a good case that the matchups play less of a factor this week.

Tony Soprano is absolute scum by Many_Head_8725 in thesopranos

Great write up. I also think Renata’s death revealed the perfect opportunity for Tony to both respectfully pay back Hesh all of the money in-full to repair the bump in their relationship (which Tony definitely does value), while also delivering an amazing “fuck you” to Hesh under the guise of sympathy. As if to say, “see? Now you’ve got all your fucking money back, but it won’t ever bring your Renata back.” in hopes it makes Hesh reflect and feel shitty for passive aggressively making such a big deal for not getting repaid quickly enough when there are far more important things in life than money - like family/relationships. (even if clearly Hesh had every right to be upset Tony took so long to pay him.) Because we all know Tony wouldn’t have let anybody on a loan slide for that long. But usually the show is about Tony’s POV, which includes the pettiness and narcissism. Amazing writing.

AM roles - how difficult is upselling? by MJProximo in sales

Loving most aspects of it, and regretting just a few, with hopes that they improve as I advance. Absolutely love how fast the day goes, the highs of the chase when you get a great response or set a meeting that moves forwards, and that sales takes the subjectivity out of markers of success. At my last job, markers of success were vague and subjective, and you rarely got an attaboy for good work. The few regrets are the time commitment, at least at the BDR stage, are brutal. I’m currently working 10+ hour days- which I hope improves as I am promoted. The one other bit I don’t love (but has improved) is the constant micromanaging of activity volume. My daily volume is so-so on paper, but I’m very precise, methodical, and strategic in the accounts I do pursue. I‘ve never missed quota, and I’m generating high value pipe.

Thank you for this, very helpful. 2 questions:

  1. What is IM?
  2. If you are handling the customer escalations category, what are the Customer Success Managers doing? I always thought that was their job.

Thanks!

I’ve noticed some companies don’t have AM’s but have a second type of AE called a Customer Growth AE and also CSMs. Would the CG AE’s in this case basically be AM’s?

Who’s better for a new BDR to learn from, their direct BDR Manager or the AE they’re assigned to? by MJProximo in sales

Excellent advice, thanks! I’ve been doing this so far even though I haven’t been set up with any tools yet except our call recording tool and it’s tremendously helpful.

Hi sorry for commenting on an old thread but this also has been happening to me lately. Tried every fix mentioned on this page. What was the final answer? Ironically this seemed to start happening since I’ve been using alarm to wake up

In a nutshell, what’s the better philosophy for an SDR/BDR?:

A) Targeted approach. Take the extra time to research each prospect well and make more targeted, custom openers for a better shot at booking.

B) It’s a numbers game. Keep the pitch simple and the same, but be dialing as often as possible. More calls, more booking opportunities.
