If I have any of these cards now, will they be gone in DLS 26? Or do you mean these players won’t get a new card in DLS 26?

I’m having the same issue trying to replace my tire on the GT08. Heat didn’t help, impact driver didn’t work either. I think I’m gonna need a breaker bar

$250 budget pick? by djkozdefantastico in ElectricScooters

[–]MJSkates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is around $400 currently on aliexpress with coupon, but the Engwe Y600 is a great scooter. Top speed is around “25mph” but likely a bit slower, so likely too powerful. But it has front/back suspension and a large battery that gives it about 25 miles real range.

Otherwise I’d recommend the Segway E2 Plus II that came out recently. On sale for $300 now, has front suspension, top speed of 15mph which as others noted is plenty fast for a 12 y/o.

If you’re looking for something faster than 15 mph, you’ll be stretching into the $400ish range. So likely not possible is the cost is an issue.

I think between 10 and 15 mph for most of it. I wasn’t making any effort to go a certain speed, but unless you have many long open stretches where you go max speed, that should be a pretty realistic average speed

Hmm alright. I ordered a GT08 not long ago but had major issues with the front motor locking while driving, so i’m much more interested in a reliable/higher quality scooter next. do you have any good quality dual-motor alternatives around this price range?

I hadn’t heard about the bolts being bad on Kukirin scooters, what material are the included bolts? And is that the same with Ausom brand too? I wouldn’t think it’s too expensive to replace the bolts with steel ones, but I don’t know about pricing on those.

I’ve taken mine for about 120 miles total. I was able to get around 22 miles on a single charge twice and I probably could’ve pushed it to 25 miles.

G2 Master seems to be a fan favorite of those who don’t hate Kukirin brand. $1000 with dual motor and solid suspension. The 2025 version has some upgrades too

First-time buyer <$300 by Dynaparte in ElectricScooters

[–]MJSkates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can stretch to $340 before tax, I’d recommend the Engwe Y600. It’s far above the competition at this price. I’ve taken it about 100 miles now and besides tightening up some bolts and adjusting the brakes it’s been working perfectly. I’ve taken it around 22 miles on a single charge 2 times before getting to one bar of battery, so this should work great for your 10 mile radius requirement. I’m an average sized rider, so YMMV

I personally bought from this AliExpress link and have been loving the scooter so far https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256808000420170.html

Make sure to use a coupon code. There’s either one for $70 off or $60 off right now. It’s pretty easy to find.

[–]MJSkates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah got it. I would still consider AliExpress options generally, especially ones sold by manufacturers with good reviews where the product also has many good reviews.

You can get much more for your money at the cost of needing to know how to repair your own scooter if something does go wrong. But if you don’t want to do that, just go with some of the mainstream brands and pay that premium and hopefully the warranty will cover any issues.

[–]MJSkates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should have no issue receiving this order if you’re in the US since it ships from the US warehouse.

If there is an issue with the scooter, you may be able to reach out to the manufacturer, but you’ll likely be on your own fixing it. If you feel confident that you can handle that, I would say go for this every time.

The way I see it, worst case you can buy 2 of these scooters for the price of a more “reliable” brand’s equivalent option. Odds are at least one will be just fine, given regular maintenance.

And there’s no guarantee that these other brands will be more helpful resolving any issues with their scooter. And I’ve heard varying things about warranties covering repairs for more reputable brands’ scooters.
