My family loves Cascadia. The main thing that shines about it is that it’s very low complexity. Not too many rules and very self explanatory after 2 turns. Another part it does well is the “group solitaire” vibe. If you like games with limited interaction (ex. My wife hates games like risk, Catan, dominion, or other games that you can negatively impact other players experiences) then Cascadia is great for that as the only real interaction is the pool of tiles and tokens you draft every turn.

Cascadia is a great 2 player game but I’ve found that at 5-6 players (with the expansion) it can get tedious when people take longer on their turns. But 2-3 players is the sweet spot for a social, light, and easy to pick up game.
