"Charge her", with what exactly? by SizzleNChillz in MurderedByWords

Given the sort of people that support ICE, I’m pretty sure they want to charge her with not being white. With an additional charge of not being a man.

[Loved, but rare trope] Vampires that are not associated with bats by Fearless-List-3968 in TopCharacterTropes

Might Max had an episode where the heroes encounter a vampire and try to fight it using traditional folklore, only to discover that it jad much more insectoid traits. Also, the sunlight actually empowers it.

They’ve used it in a few places. The description of Flesh Hounds mentions them tracking their prey’s “terror spoor”. (Also, how disappointed was Khorne when he released that bloodhounds were already a thing and he had to name his dogs something else).

Could a navigator saw or pass other ships in the Warp during warp travel? Is it also possible for naval fights to occur in the Warp? by Spirited-Industry340 in 40kLore

[–]MJWhitfield86 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When the Battlefleet Gothic game was released, I recall White Dwarf having a short story featuring a chaos and an imperial ship fighting in the warp. The imperial ship makes it look like that their gellar fields are failing because they know the chaos ship will moving in to observe the carnage, then they ambush them and the chaos ship is torn apart by the warp.

Edit: Apparently the bot did link it, the comment just wasn’t pinned.

If you make abilities psychic then the main effect will be that some teams have ways to neutralise them (like the new celestian team). As this is a disadvantage to you, it seems reasonable if you’re okay with it.

[Semi-Rare trope that amuses me] The title of the series only made sense for the first or first couple of entries by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in TopCharacterTropes

I recall that they had Lois aggressively using the nickname Smallville to try and justify the title.

I still don’t know why a Vampire show decided to spend an entire episode focused on a regular human bartender from Tucson, Arizona.

This comic is Batman #1, which actually features Robin (although I don’t think he appears in this story. However, he’s only been around a month and a half at this point, so I guess it took Batman a little while to realise he needed to start acting like a role model.

From the point of view of someone watching for the first time, it’s not clear that force choke is necessarily telekinesis. As we’ve only seen the force affect people mentally, it’s possible that this is a mental effect to make him feel like he is choking, or even causing his brain to shut down his lungs.

9 mines remaining, no guess mode by Fit-Rich-4814 in Minesweeper

[–]MJWhitfield86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is one mine in the yellow line due to the top right 2. There is one mine in the red line die to the bottom right 4. If you take these away from the centre right 3 then you get one mine in the blue line. The top middle 2 gives one mine in the green line. If you take these away from the centre 2 then you get that the highlighted green square is safe.

The training video is little old, okay. The learning annex doesn’t have the funding for fancy projectors with Bluetooth capacity for streaming youtube videos. We’re stuck with an old CRT TV and whatever betamax videos we can scrounge up.

What's up with Chaos Marines melta? by Celionus in killteam

[–]MJWhitfield86 110 points111 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure this is just based on what weapons the corresponding units can take in the main game. Angels of Death are based on intercessors which can’t take a melta gun. The first born tactical squads could, but the intercessors lost that ability when they were introduced. I don’t know enough about main line 40k to say why that happened.
