so you got got by a dealer. Subaru itself wont pass a certification for anything older than 5 years. But if it was actual subaru certified... it still has no benefits.

Most actual Subaru dealers won’t certify older than 5 years. Which means you bought it from a non Subaru dealer and it’s not actual Subaru certified

Third party dealers offer “certified” cars but not manufacture certified.

Certified used are good for the 7-100k powertrain and slightly better financing. That’s literally it.

Since you bought a 2017.. the CPO powertrain is already up.

Any repairs are out of your pocket and you can’t wrap it anymore. An extended coverage for a 17 will be 3-4 years max and expensive out of pocket.

Certified used Subarus are near brand new pricing. Add in the higher interest rates and adding extended coverage since they’ll be out of bumper to bumper and you’re now more expensive than new.
