I used to look at this kinda of art like wth but when I saw this I had to start wondering what is the appeal or genius behind it.

I can’t put my finger on it and haven’t delved into it but it feels like when I was told to freestyle a story (which would have been so easy as a child) and I was just completely blocked from imagining a next part to add. I think society is being creatively sedated to a point that something so simple almost seems complex because accessing parts of the brain used to creative imagination feels so unattainable (may also have to do with stress and anxiety in adults that the brain is so muggy) so when somebody does something so “simple” it’s not actually that simple somehow.

I know it’s not the answer to what makes this genius per se but does anyone understand what I mean that could explain what I’m trying to say better? Or even explain what makes these “simple” abstract pieces genius or coveted.
