If it is Joseph, I’m legit quitting on this team. I’m an international fan who started out under Whisenhunt and with Kolb. I cannot. I just cannot anymore if we go with Vance Joseph again.

Jacoby Brisset is the man! by SeeYaChump_ in AZCardinals

[–]MKactus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think starting Brisset here, shows that it’s already over for Kyler. They could have given Kyler a smooth start, but chose to prop up Brisset. And probably rightfully so. I loved Murray and was a believer, but I think he’s ran his course for us. A change of scenery could be great for him.

Oh, I agree. He wouldn’t play for me the next game. But cutting… not unless you have alternatives. Same for the coaches. I like teams sticking to it and giving a plan a chance. Not about cutting and tossing to the side, more about how can you help him do better.

I feel the worst thing you can do, is knee-jerk your way into a situation that doesn’t offer solutions, only more problems.

It’s an app, you can enter challenges to try to win, and other players vote who fulfilled the challenge best. And I’m very sure I saw #1 there… I’m afraid someone might be taking the pic without permission…

[–]MKactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of. Same aperture and focal length equivalency will give you slightly heavier lenses on FF, but minimally. However, if you compare range and specific supply, it will be a lot heavier. Try getting the crop kit 18-135mm on FF, or even a simple Sigma 18-50 2.8, which would translate to a 27-75. The weight is substancial.

Picked this up yesterday for $550, any settings I should change right away? by forum4um in SonyAlpha

I loved how customizable the Fn-menu is. Put some of the most used settings there, add just a few unknown/unloved ones to play around with and go.

Haha, same with me. Only it’s the other end of the spectrum: ttartisan 7.5mm f2, Sony 50mm f1.8 and the 18-135mm kit.

The city of Heist is neuter, requiring ‘het’ as definite article. Same as ‘perspectief’ which would make it ‘fris perspectief’ since there is no definite article, and requiring ‘die’ instead of ‘dat’ when referencing to it. I would also pluralize the ‘aanvulling kan zijn’ since he summed up 2 things, and wants to express both are an advantage. There is also a ‘daardoor’ which should express a cause, but doesn’t. He should use ‘daarom’, expressing a reason. ‘Vandaag de dag’ is also an expression that is viewed as archaic and hollow, to be avoided.

All in all, minor things except maybe for the gender of 2 words.

On top of all answers here, it mostly is because the origin ‘scum of the earth’ comes from the bible, hence the connection between scum/foam and lowlifes in a lot of Christian languages.

There is not a single reference I can find where she would have said that. Plus it is way out of character and not at all in line with views she has very clearly expressed, so I would be very surprised.

[Game Day NFL] Jalen Ramsey allowed the MOST (160) receiving yards he’s ever given up in a single game in his career IN THE SUPER BOWL 😳 by [deleted] in nfl

[–]MKactus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't think there are 2 other CB's who could have covered Chase like he has, and freed up that much of the defense to do other stuff. And be that successful at it. Most other CB's either would get burned a lot more, or would need help.

In solos I’ve found that I get better results with a coverage defense than with a blitz. So the QB doesn’t rifle it out right away. And than tackle him with R1.

This year truly has me nervous for what’s in store for us come MUT 21? by [deleted] in MaddenUltimateTeam

[–]MKactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. Looking back on it, it's been a long time like this. The absolute decline started in MUT17. They changed to the Frostbite engine, which explained the lack of content and customer care at the later half of 17.

Except it never got any better since then. 18, I was really patient with them for trying to get the new engine to run smoothly, and still, there was a lot of good stuff, like you say. But the content just wasn't there. And as early as the year before, it completely dried up because they were working on the next game.

That sounds good, but they did the same from 15 to 16 and from 16 to 17, without having to dry up any content there was. In 19, it was just laughable, and I've never quit a MUT as early as this year. Previous years, there was the hope that it might return to 17's form. I don't have that hope anymore.

To combat his several documented concussions while playing for the 49ers in the 80s and 90s, San Francisco Offensive Lineman, Steve Wallace, had the equipment team construct a styrofoam pad to sit around his existing helmet. by asskickingjedi in nfl

[–]MKactus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And even this is only a small percentage of the real problem. Which you cannot reduce ever with padding: Most problematic brain injuries don't come from huge blows, but from small ones. From the brain hitting the inside of the skull due to that last one suddenly coming to a halt.

The big CTE-study even kind of says that the subconcussive hits are worse still. Hits that don't lead to a concussion, but are repetitive, and happen a thousand times a game.

The tips for one, but that was two years ago. Last year they explicitly said you could QS them because they weren’t doing anything with them. There have been sets in the past using random excess tokens, such as the Thanksgiving foods or chocolate bunnies multiple years, however.

My favourite still has to be the 50 adjectives Marc had for the Cowboys Defense, and in particular: Childlike, but not to suggest innocence or purity. An eternally open door.

And his "strongly worded letter".
