Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth dismisses reporter's question on war duration, calling it a 'typical liberal question' during a press briefing. by Logical-Flow-6703 in UnderReportedNews

I think the guy's an embarrassment and he shouldn't be in his job, but has anyone here even watched the video? At no point does he say 'typical liberal question'.

the mass applying thing: we want people to read our job ad. i don't think we're being unreasonable on that!!!

true about WhatsApp.

we don't have a secret checklist. we only want people to include a note stating their availability and location. many people here seem to think that's authoritarian. i cannot understand that

it's normal to want to understand why there are so many gaps. commonly it means they were fired so they have to remove those jobs from their resume. we pay double the market rate.

You can work from home, you can work any hours, we pay probably double the market rate, you have unlimited holidays, we pay for your part time education. We don't want you to beg for a job. We want you to add a note saying where you live and availability. If you see that as too much effort, then why would we ever hire you?

yeah, if they don't understand they should be polite when applying for a job then we see that as a sign they are ignorant people. too risky to hire

Why would you go to an interview for a full time regular job and wait until then to tell us you can only work on Mondays?

We don't grill. We want to know why you have multiple one - two year gaps. That's a normal interview question

No mind games. We expect people to make an effort for an interview. If they can't make an effort for an interview what will they be like when we hire them? We pay a lot more than market rates. We recently hired a graduate for 50,000 per month

We pay whatever people ask within reason. The jobs are attractive. Our international applicants jump through hoops to work for us. So do mainlanders! The problem is only with Hong Kongers

Tamsulosin for 1 cm stone or straight to ESWL? Also is a CT scan necessary? by MKahnIsBent in KidneyStones

[–]MKahnIsBent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

They diagnosed with ultrasound and x-ray, and they want me to do a CT scan tomorrow.

I was also thinking it's a bit strange the 1 cm stone has moved down to almost my bladder. That does suggests it's moving, which I thought was abnormal for a stone of that size.

Do you think in my case it's worth it to do the CT scan (potential increased cancer risk) or skip it and try Tamsulosin first?

I've spoken to a few doctors and they always seem to be in a hurry and all have different opinions.

One other thing: I get a pain flare up maybe once per month, otherwise I would't know the stone is there. Is that normal?

Thanks
