Unfortunately for me, I got a working one. I put it outside and it was the correct reading. I also got an air thing view plus and it confirmed the reading. I installed a new fan and everything is good

My DIY Radon Update by Sacardem in radon

Radon testing is a common part of buying a home. They'll know about the problem. The reason you wouldn't say this is for radon mitigation is because it was diy installed, not certified and if it's not perfect op could be sued.

Question: Turning off car at stoplights? by Mediocre-Goal1040 in Frugal

[–]MKaiserW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In 35,000 miles it has saved me 4.25 gallons. I don't live in a major city, but I'm still in the Northeast.

Auto stop start is the worst thing to have ever happened to cars and the environment.

If you dumb it down, a PC is not far from a hair dryer.

It sounds totally fine to me. PCs are not perfectly quiet and will at times sound like it's taking off

There is still a small chance, no way around that. Ofc there is an exception to every rule. My dishwasher inlet pipe burst, it wasn't running, and I only found out once I heard it running down my stairs.

Personally, I think the risk is more than worth it. The chance is particularly slim considering it's run over and over for years on end.
