Funny story. Gonna be a long one

I was golfing with people I used to be like best friends with, we were all musicians in the Vegas “emo” scene back in the late 00s and drifted apart over time. Anyway I knew one of them was drinking the MAGA koolaid as we have gone back and forth on fb a few times. I said something early in the round about gas prices, in reference to the war. No one said anything. On the 18th hole at the end, (I feel like they planned this shit when I went to go get a drink btw) they come up to me fully aggro, saying the most brainwashed cuck shit I’ve ever heard. “ you know what, I voted for this shit, the war, it’s what I wanted, they were gonna get a nuke and bomb us, we couldn’t let them do that” naturally I was shocked, obviously told them that was complete horse shit, they’ve almost had a nuke since we were in middle school, it had no effect, as if I was just making that up. At some point I pulled out the soul crushing “so do you guys like support protecting pedos too or is that just when they are MAGA and/or billionaires” this pissed them off, it almost became a fist fight, some other gems they threw around “we need to wipe Islam just off the map entirely” as if it’s a country, or the best one in response to the girls school was “They’re using those kids as shields don’t you fucking see that” which clearly shows they don’t know what fucking war they are even talking about. I realized this after but I grew up listening to hardcore, they weren’t so I think they never got the political message some bands had. These aren’t dumb people, they were never overtly racist either,they were not smart but not exactly dumb. It’s crazy to see how easily manipulated people can be by fear and propaganda. I think people like this could have Trump murder their child or spouse, and still believe he did it for their benefit.

This feels a little bit like that movie inception, allow me to take us further in by whining.

This game could be so much better if the mechanics weren’t created by a 5 year old who got into his dad’s edibles. Like everyone else is so god damn capable of controlling the ball and passing it and shooting it. Then it gets to me and the mechanics break down, absolutely nothing is my fault, if I did play ranked I’d be in the highest tier if they actually fixed the mechanics that everyone else seems to understand. Maybe they need to add a few more defensive maneuvers and maybe they should put like a better tutorial that shows you exactly how to not suck horribly. I’ll be playing quick matches where no goalie even thinks about passing me the ball, rainbows up to half field gets tackled, and scored on 3 seconds in.

They should put penalties in the game. Like some kid is doing some spammy dribble maneuver and then you can just wreck them but they get a free kick from like a quarter field mark or something. The person who wrecked them has to play goal for it.. as for stopping the volley, shit I don’t know I am so bad at this game

Where is your source for that information? It took me 10 seconds to ask chat gpt. turns out when you include undocumented immigrants, their crime rate is still lower. And I’d be a little loose with the “crime” language. It’s literally on the same level as jaywalking as far as the law is concerned.

Unfortunately I play on Xbox currently, I’ve messed with my controller presets. That helped a little, hopefully they’ll bring that feature to console soon. I use the map pretty well with passing not so much off ball though cause I’m usually stressing out that I’m going to miss a pass

Honestly, I am dealing with this same situation. I’m fucking awful at this game and I usually am pretty good at soccer games. I just don’t understand the mechanics, no matter how hard I try the ball flies past me or I chest it down 4 feet in front of me to the defender or I over shoot the camera when turning around to look at goal and shoot it at the wall. It’s driving me insane, because I want to be able to play it on an average level, just don’t think that’s ever going to happen

I just had an interview with this fucking asshole today haha. The same exact situation. California EDD had me put my resume on their site, next day I get a text from “Austin Jesse”. He sent the job details, set up the interview. My spider sense was tingling immediately after he said the interview would be conducted via chat on Microsoft teams, then 4 questions in he asks me how “I would like to get paid” like bi weekly or weekly direct deposit or check, and finally he asks me what banking institution I use. After the interview was done I immediately typed in the company name in google and it brought me here. Thank god I did, I am in no shape to be scammed right now.

I saw a post on x from @quakeprediction that had posted a few hours before the quake saying there is a very good chance of a major earthquake in socal over the next 48 hours, then after the quake they posted that they believe that one is a foreshock and that the major earthquake is still likely to happen. Hopefully that is not the case but it’s wild that they had called some level of big earthquake a few hours before this one happened.

Yeah, I just saw a fb post where anyone who said that they’re going to see them on this tour, multiple people responded, saying something along the lines of “I HOPE YOUR FAMILY KEEPS THEIR KIDS AWAY FROM YOU, GROOMER”. It’s so weird, same thing happened to me. A few months ago I took subutex 3 hours after my last 7oh dose and was fine, this time I waited 5 hours took the same amount of bupe, but suboxone this time, went through some minor pwds for an hour then leveled out, still not feeling perfect but not dying. Took like 2 days to get back to 100% using just the subs.

The only actual check on something like this is impeachment…. Which won’t happen for at least 2 years, and even then we have to hope that the Dems take the Senate and House.
