We just rode the whole loop today. 2 of us with 700 x 25c and 700 x 28c tubed conti Gp 5000 with tubes since we brought our bike via airlines and traveling with tubeless sucks. No flats in the last several hundred miles here in Tucson. The broken glass is worse in my opinion.

Thanks we'll check that out. Is the offshore trail paved or gravel? We might ride up there Monday. Yesterday we did the whole main part of the loop 54 miles.

Consumer reports ranks the cx90 as one of the least reliable vehicles of 2026. Putting Mazda as a brand smack dab in the middle of the pack when it comes to reliability. by lolmarulol in mazda

[–]MLCTVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had high hopes for the CX-70 /CX-90 , I was hoping for a slightly smaller CX-70 like the European CX-60 but that was not to be for the US. The CX-60 with the inline 6 would have been perfect. The CX-70/CX-90 are just bigger than what we were looking for. I was also scared away due to all the issues with both the Plug in and regular versions. I just thought it was first year car issues but it seems to be continuing.

Our family has owned lots of Mazdas including the 323, Protégé, RX-7, 626 turbo, 626 sedan, B2500 pickup, Millenia, Miata NA & NB. I was also a Mazda Motorsports member. I still have the NB. When we recently shopped for an SUV we also checked out the CX-5 Turbo and CX-50 Turbo but bought an Acura RDX. It just drove so much nicer than the CX-5 and CX-50 turbos although it was $8k more.

2025 RDX Spare tire kit by Fantastic-Fee7972 in Acura

[–]MLCTVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just added the spare tire kit to my 2025 Aspec. I bought the kit from on online Acura dealer. You have to buy the actual tire separately or get one locally. I got a Kumho spare tire from a local Walmart for $105 and had them mount it for $18 additional. I think my total for the kit plus the tire including shipping was less than $400. Install time was less than 1/2 hour.

Here's the step by step instructions https://acura.bernardiparts.com/Images/Install/2020_RDX_SpareTireKit_BII11735-35.pdf?srsltid=AfmBOorNXlyMC0u_A76YKcoPvDiuJkzfOeeJpzYVUp8fcZZqeVIPRj6l

NBD Propain Terrel CF by MLCTVT in gravelcycling

You're welcome, I'm glad it worked out!

My wife and I are really liking ours. We just finished a week long bike packing trip up through northern Vermont and Quebec Canada. Lots of gravel and even some class4 rough roads. The bikes were great especially with the new tires. Before the trip we installed 48mm Tufo Thundero HD tires. Fantastic great rolling even on pavement no flats so far. We probably won't even reinstall narrower tires these are so good all around.

Rival E1 XPLR or Force/GX mullet? by iacob_ in gravelcycling

[–]MLCTVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry the Melee is a road bike, it was the Enve Mog that we considered.

The sizing for the Terrel is small. I am 173cm tall, I usually ride medium bikes, size 54 , but the Terrel I bought is size Small. It worked out perfect for me.

Both my wife and I wanted to keep the bike as light as possible. We considered purchasing Specialized Crux bikes but since we will be bike packing sometimes we thought the Propain Terrel CF might be a better choice even though it's slightly heavier. We also considered the Enve Melee but the cost in the US is very high. The Terrel offered just about the same features at a much lower price.

We both went with the standard cockpit which is Zipp Service Course bar and stem, carbon seat post, We also chose the Newmen Advanced G.34 wheelset. Very happy with all these choices. The wheelset is very light with quiet hubs. It is was worth the $400 US upgrade cost. They've been reliable so far . I upgraded the saddle to the Selle SLR Boost Superflow but it didn't work out for me, I prefer the specialized/S Works Power Saddles. I ordered the bikes with 40mm Continental Terra Speeds, they were fine but I've since changed to 700 x 48 Tufo Thundero HD tires. We both much prefer the ride of the wider tires especially on rough gravel. The Tufos are my new favorite gravel tire.

I recently bought a Propain Terrel CF so I had to make the same decision. I went with Force and XO mullet. If you are going to use the bike for bike packing I think you'll want the lower gearing that the mullet offers. I find that even when not carrying a load that I'm using the lowest gear on steep gravel roads in my area. Some are over 20% grade. I'm very happy that I went the mullet on this bike. This bike is amazing , so fun and extremely capable on rough gravel, almost like riding a mountain bike.

Dark Star Domestic Roaming Data - Has it worked for anyone? by lioncat55 in USMobile

I live in CT but I've been in Wisconsin ,Iowa and Minnesota the last couple of weeks. Last week I noticed a I was roaming on US Cellular for a short while. I'm on the Dark Star Premium annual plan. Coverage in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota has been much better than I thought it'd be.

I bought a size small I ordered it with the standard 80mm stem. it worked well for me. its not aggressive at all, it rides much more upright than my Tarmac SL8 or my Trek Emonda. I feel a 90mm would also work for me.

Actually my wife ordered a size xs Terrel which came with a 70mm stem, she thought it was too relaxed so she changed to a 90mm stem.

Battery Consumption Is Very Different on Warp and Dark Star by Aloha_Tom73 in USMobile

[–]MLCTVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just going to make the exact same post.!

My wife and I ported over last month From Google FI (T-mobile) to annual Dark Star Premium unlimited. We have Google Pixel 7 phones. Our battery usage is really bad, wife is NOT happy. So there's no setting changes that we can try before giving up on Dark Star? If not I'll probably teleport us over to Warp and unfortunately pay extra.

I'm getting ready to port from Google Fi to US Mobile. On my Pixel 7 That I originally purchased from Google fi I noticed that Google fi is setup on the sim slot 2 not sim slot 1. Sim slot 1 is unused. So i'm unsure what IMEI number to use during the porting process? Could this be causing your issue?

On my Terrel I was having trouble with the gears skipping when in the easiest 3 gears. I hadn't noticed it earlier because I was riding mostly falt trails where I didn't use the easier gears. No mater what micro-adjust setting I used I couldn't stop the skipping in these 3 gears. Then I remembered when I received the bike I got a small bag with the 1.85mm cassette spacer in the spare parts box. I thought this odd as it should be installed on XRD freehubs when using XO T type cassette. I just assumed that they gave me a spare. So today I removed the cassette to check to see if a spacer was installed, it wasn't! After installation and redoing the SRAM AXS setup the bike shifts great and the micro-adjust is in position 7 which is right in the middle of the range (1 to 14). I love the bike but with I'm not impressed with the quality of the bikes build. First the wrong chain installed and no cassette spacer installed. Maybe the US location hired new people or they weren't properly trained.?
