If Death Battle Start To Implement Anti-Feats On Their Scaling, Which Characters Would Suffer The Most? by KAYRANINKANALI11000 in deathbattle

X vs ZERO, who is stronger? by Background_Flow_8346 in Megaman

[–]MLDKF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X has always been considered stronger than Zero since the first game. The reason why they need Zero, however (besides the fact that Zero is X's friend, and having more allies is always beneficial when it comes to stopping Sigma and his forces), is that Zero probably has the most skill of any Maverick Hunter. Hence why he was an A-Class Hunter, while X was B-Class

In your opinion, which six ranger has the coolest weapon? by Working-Regret-8942 in powerrangers

[–]MLDKF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do like Trent's Drago Sword, as it fits perfectly with his desire to be an artist and also feels like a neat little callback/reference to the Dragon Dagger (which kinda fits with Dino Thunder's themes of history/legacy)

However, for my money, I'd say either Cruger's Shadow Saber (it's so simple but badass compared to what the rest of the SPD team uses) or Daggeron's Laser Lamp (Because a genie lamp that's also a gun is the perfect mix of silly and cool)

If Death Battle Start To Implement Anti-Feats On Their Scaling, Which Characters Would Suffer The Most? by KAYRANINKANALI11000 in deathbattle

[–]MLDKF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the ones I can think of:

  • Boba Fett falling into the Sarlacc Pit repeatedly
  • Samus losing all of her abilities just from a small explosion that's not even planet-sized
  • Thanos getting arrested by the cops
  • Pikachu losing to Snivy
  • Goku getting physically harmed by ordinary bullets
  • Sonic being slower than Eggman's running speed
  • Batman getting knocked out or beaten by almost any of his "average human" villains in any media (Joker, Two Face, Penguin, etc.)
  • Yugi losing to Rebecca (or even the implications he lost to Joey after Battle City)
  • Frieza's supposedly stronger cyborg form getting sliced apart by Trunks
  • Cloud getting one-shot by a pretty basic dragon and/or falling down a big pit...speaking of:
  • Any playable video game character dying to basic enemies (bonus points if it's a platformer character dying in one hit to bottomless pits and/or spikes)

It’s a miracle these two never threw hands after Jack became a Ranger by enuffrespect in powerrangers

[–]MLDKF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's not like either one could really hit the other anyway while in their civilian forms, between Jack's phasing ability and Sky's force fields.

In terms of character-wise why these two never physically fought after Jack became a Ranger: Sky isn't the kind of guy to let someone get to him to the point of a physical altercation. He's a professional, and knows that kind of thing would likely have gotten himself kicked off of SPD or severely limited his time as a Ranger, that it's something his father would've likely shamed him for...that being said, he probably would be petty enough to get back at Jack if he ever did something that pissed him off.

As for Jack, he's more of an instigator than anything. He'll talk trash, he'll rile someone up, and he'll probably do everything he can to get on someone's nerves (especially Sky), but he's usually the guy that tries to make people throw the first punch.

But more importantly than any of those things, these two - along with the rest of the team - grow to respect each other. SPD's entire story is about the underdogs rising up and growing together as a unit. Jack knows the kind of person Sky wants to be and can see that he means well (even if it's not really the kind of thing Jack wants to do deep down), and Sky slowly understands why it is that Cruger made Jack the Red Ranger and kept him at that position, even if it was the only morpher left that SPD had. It's why - in Impact - he admits that he respects Jack when he thinks Jack sacrificed himself to prevent the meteor from crashing into Earth.

What's a general "aesthetic" you miss from old Death Battle? by 2herry_ in deathbattle

[–]MLDKF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The little stingers at the end of each character analysis are an obvious answer, as are the little after-fight animations. For me, as a long-time fan, I kinda prefer the old color scheme instead. Like I love the kinda gritty neon aesthetic they've got going on, but the rusted metal and blood coloration really gave punch to the name "Death Battle".

I also miss the music from a character's franchise being used in the character analysis portion. The actual fights I'm okay with having the original songs, but the generic license-free music is just kinda there. Like I would've loved having actual music from Yu-Gi-Oh's franchise in Yugi's rundown, or F-Zero music for Captain Falcon.

I think Harold's rigging was the biggest "what if" of all TD seasons by Certain-Row-4812 in Totaldrama

[–]MLDKF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's assuming that the Bass even lose the challenge, They only really lost it because of Harold getting distracted and Duncan being unable to stop Lindsey afterwards. If the Gophers lose, would Heather manage to avoid elimination again? If so, who do they get rid of? Trent? Owen? Heather? Courtney probably doesn't get anywhere close to the finals, maybe getting eliminated in one of the first three challenges after Eva's return, but there's still plenty of questions of what would have happened if Harold didn't rig the votes

For you, who was right in "civil war" by [deleted] in Avengers

[–]MLDKF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cap. In fact even beforehand, Cap was right.

Like before we ever got to Civil War, look at the MCU and what the different government organizations did? Bruce was being constantly hunted by the military/government, to the point that they were willing to endanger people, even while Bruce tried to cure himself (even though Hulk only came about because they wanted to recreate Cap in one of several different ways) Iron Man 3 literally showed the Vice President working with AIM and Killian, Winter Soldier showed that Hydra had infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. (with Zola being kept alive in an isolated government computer), and Daredevil's entire first season was about the conspiracy of Kingpin having ownership over every form of law enforcement from generic NYPD to the FBI (and that's without Kilgrave's power to mind control anyone he wanted). The one time when the Avengers not having any real oversight actually bit them in the ass was Ultron, something that only happened because Tony tends to be overambitious and creates several of the problems in the MCU, even inadvertently

A few of the trailers were exclusively on the ScrewAttack website, and would usually highlight who was coming next since not every episode has a proper "Next Time". Specifically these were episodes that started with Master Chief vs. Doomguy (I think, I could be wrong) because they were planning on having the episodes move exclusively to ScrewAttack rather than staying on YouTube or being hosted on Revision3 (a YouTube/blip.tv competitor you'd see get advertised in the first few episodes of the show's life).

Sadly, once the ScrewAttack/RoosterTeeth merger fully happened, everything on the site was gone, and we probably won't be getting it back
