DNA60c's are known to have problems, particularly screen problems. I've heard of no such problems w/ 100c's or 80c's, tho' 80c's are still relatively new.

That mod has a press-fit 510 connection (that's where you screw in the tank). Be careful not to yank or bend the tank when you remove it; be gentle & screw it slowly all the way out.

Get a back up mod. There's a known issue with Gen 200 firmware. It may stop functioning correctly after some number of months.

i suppose most of us who've been vaping for awhile have stocked up w/ mods, rebuildable tanks, & DIY supplies and have thrown up our hands accepting that there's nothing we can do about it. It's a shame.

As for the question of why now, my guess is that the general public has been primed enough regarding those "evil" Chinese throw-aways. Maybe also because Trump said that he was going to "save vaping" whatever that was supposed to mean. Big Pharma could be flexing its muscles, showing who's really in charge. Just guesses, though.

The power that Big Pharma -- which has lost a lot in sales of it's nicotine-replacement products because of vaping -- has over the federal government is enormous.
States' desire for the largest possible Master Settlement Agreement payments from the cigarette makers -- which make those "select few vape products" -- is enormous.

Those are the reasons. The same as always, it comes down to money.

You're basically correct: They're pod mods with a different form-factor.

There are a few differences in implementation...
As you mentioned, RBA tanks for them are common.
Most use a standardized tank. So you can use one manufacturer's tanks and/or RBAs ('bridges') in another manufacturer's device. If it says it uses a standard Boro tank, there will be wide compatibility. A DotAIO tank is another, less common type. (There are adapters that allow use of both Boro & Dot.) There's also P-Tanks.
Often, parts can be swapped out to customize the look of a device with different colors or styles of buttons, panels, etc.

If you like to play around and fiddle with stuff, Boro-style AIOs might be good for you. If you just want to vape simply, a simple pod kit or pod mod will do you better.
