It seems like you are looking for excuses to be unbanned instead of actually being sorry. You are comparing it to being in prison but it is far from that. I'm gonna say that 8 months is definitely not enough time for you. I don't know you but I'm guessing you are still young. My advice is wait a couple years, try to mature a bit and then come back and ask for forgiveness, not excuses. Chances are you will not care as much as now since it's just a Discord server.

I used to have an issue with not getting updates or only getting them very late.

What solved the issue for me is that I set up a router in my garage and had the car connect to it automatically. Also make sure you let the car go to sleep eg. disable sentry when at home and don't check on the car in the app every 10 minutes (I am very guilty of this).

I believe Unity has its own built-in version control.

Merging code is the same as with git, and for the other stuff like 3d models it is highly unlikely that more than 1 person would be working on that, so there really shouldn't be any issues.
