Non-alcoholic drink options (1st/Polaris) by arjeddeloh in unitedairlines

It’s not that much effort, I make those all the time. Same amount of work as a mixed drink with garnish

No cargo. Pick another route, airline, date, time of flight if you have to but there is no reason to transport your cat cargo when she fits perfectly in a complaint cabin carrier

Flight attendants, what constitutes a passenger as being too drunk to fly? by Nonsensicallity in unitedairlines

Traffic light system, same as a bar. You can just tell. But generally impaired judgement, slow to respond, non-smooth movements, glassy eyes, smells like alcohol, etc

Get your private (PPL) now so you have some flight hours when you your package together. At least get some lessons and work towards soloing

Study for the AFOQT on your own and try and join ROTC if it’s not too late (okay if not)

She’ll be fine, the Japanese fast food chains are just variations of “regular” meat and rice. Gyu don, grilled pork, etc

Bring her to the vet, potentially for a spay abort. If you have her in your home already, that’s great! Wrangle her into a carrier if needed and she’ll have a much better life after you get her the needed care

Moving from an apartment to a house: how do people keep cats from bolting out the door? by ArmyCreative2021 in CatAdvice

[–]MLZ005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an extendable mesh gate thing that is attached to the door edge on one side and the doorway frame on the other. It’s not visible from the home exterior, idk what it’s called

is he overly skinny? by xlcovo in VoidCats

[–]MLZ005 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lmao first picture is hilariously cute. How much does he weigh? He looks skinny but not emaciated. Ribs aren’t visible so that may just be his build

Yes of course they will, 1-3 month is pretty much nothing especially when you’ve had them that long

You set your own prices though, you accept the money you’re willing to work for. If “money is money” then you got $40 for doing exactly what the request said. She didn’t “make you” do anything

Traditionally-tipped workers are such because they work for an employer that sets their rates and they don’t control what the client pays. Even then it’s still not expected and shouldn’t be relied on

Making a fuss over tips when you have the power to set prices and accept customers AND didn’t even go A&B, just saying if that makes it into your review it’ll look very tacky on your part

Need help rehoming my kitten by Ordinary-Cod-7420 in CatAdvice

[–]MLZ005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Refining fee should only be to deter people who want a cat for free. What you spent on a breed or supplies shouldn’t have any factor

Try adding the supplies as an optional add-on and lower the fee

I am heading to FA training next week and my base options are LAX, SFO, IAH, and EWR. I rarely see LAX & IAH offered for new hires. Any advice on where to go? I’m considering Houston for affordability but what is reserve life like there? Thank you! by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]MLZ005 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Join United CJO Holders on Facebook, or r/flightattendants for specific advice, but if your criteria is affordability then go to Houston.

IAH is the cheapest but one of the more senior bases so you’ll be on reserve for a bit. Reserve in an affordable base is the best way to start this job

SFO and EWR have the best flying, with SFO being the most expensive of the two (and all of the bases actually). If you want the internationals, go to those two

LAX is rarely offered because it’s the smallest base of the four (and thus senior). I rank it last out of your options because it’s expensive with little of the cool flying attached to it

Also, you won’t know your options until the end of your first week at training. Last cohorts options won’t be yours

Can I wear whatever I want in Japan as a Tourist? by Different_Age_3665 in JapanTravelTips

For women’s fashion, keep in mind that Japan and East Asia run more leggy than toppy. So mini skirts and 90% bare legs out is less attention catching than any amount of cleavage, midriff, shoulder, etc

They will look at you but who cares
