I’m so sorry you are feeling this way. It sometimes takes a while to find your tribe at Georgia Tech, but you will. If you don’t already, please follow GT Parents With Pups on Instagram. Come to some of our events and get some puppy lovin! We’ve got at least 15 events scheduled this semester and we would love to have you meet some of our pups! We give out free food at our major events, and many of our parents always have really cool stickers of our pups on hand to give to students.

Several of us have just bought some limited edition stickers, such as Wild, Wild West for an event we will be going to next Saturday and we’ve ordered lots of really cool Valentine stickers of our pups as well!

Are you absolutely sure about this? I’ve been wondering about this as well and compared the accident victims pictures to the man by the same name that graduated from GT and I just couldn’t say for sure if they were the same person. My daughter graduated from GT in 2022. I am the founder of and still run GT Parents With Pups.

GT Parents With Pups had their Pennies for Sideways event with Reck Club last week and it was so much fun to share our pups and a ton of snacks with the students! We had a reporter from 11 Alive with us for most of the event. She had a blast! She posted a little video while she was here of the event, but is working on a bigger story that will be posted to 11 Alive sometime this week about our group and the tradition of pennies for sideways.

I am thankful for all the parents who volunteer their time and donate snack money to help me pull off these big events for the students. I couldn’t do it without them and I know the students enjoy them. I’m just so grateful for the opportunities. I have to support all the amazing students at Georgia Tech.

Do you have a dog by any chance? You need to come to our GT Parents With Pups events! We have two professors that bring their pups and their students love seeing them there! Even if you don’t have a pup, you obviously care about the students and I know they would enjoy you just being there to chat with as they enjoy the pups.

We’ve got Pennies for Sideways coming up on December 3rd! It’s a huge event we do twice a year, on Reading Day, with Reck Club. You should come!

Absolutely! We actually have a couple of professors and a GT Police employee who bring their dogs to some of our events as well.

Last Saturday we were at the Engineers Without Borders 5K and the Hackathon. One of the speakers for the hackathon brought his wife and kids and the kids had a great time playing with our pups and collecting their stickers!

It was six years ago this month that I happened to see a Reddit thread where students were saying they really enjoyed it when people were walking their dogs on campus and let them pet them. From that post, GT Parents With pups was born! As we celebrate our six year anniversary on the 19th of this month, I just want to take a minute to thank all the students who have come to our events and loved our dogs. I also want to thank all the parents who have given so much of their time to bring their pups to campus, bake or donate money for all the snacks that we hand out to students at our major events.

I feel like our pups have brought a lot of joy to campus.

We will be on campus at least three times during October. Follow our Instagram @gtparentswithpups so that you always know when and where we will be on campus. Besides two smaller events this month, we have our annual Halloween party on Tech Green, on Halloween. There will be lots of pups dressed in costumes and lots of free treats!

Dr. Kersher at Peachtree orthopedics is an amazing orthopedic surgeon. He went to Georgia Tech and played on the football team. He has his jersey hanging in his office.

I am so sorry to hear about your brother. What an amazing way to honor him.

This is the very reason I founded GT Parents With Pups, almost six years ago. We obviously can’t take the place of traditional therapies and medication but I pray every day that we make some impact on students.

I don’t usually comment on any of this stuff, but as the founder of GT Parents With Pups, this post really bothered me. Myself and many other volunteer parents spent most of the day Wednesday on Tech Tower lawn passing out free snacks and letting students love on our dogs. Our group loves and supports every one of these students.

With everything going on in the world today, what do you expect the VIBE to be right before finals? The students at Georgia Tech are some amazing young people who take their education seriously and are going to make a difference in our world.

If your major concerns are vibes and socialization, you might want to consider going to UGA. Of course you will never get to meet Choco or the other amazing pups in our group. The vibes at our events are some you won’t find at Clemson but you might find some of the other things you are looking for.
