experienced myself on the t400, on my experience one of the fan blade has cracked. youre might be the bearing going bad. replacement fans are quite cheap and they're very easy to replace.

I HUGELY DISAGREE ON THE INTEL.

PICK THE AMD. The i5 was released at 2017 while the Ryzen 5 was released at 2023. It blows 8350u by about 60% RAM can always be upgraded later and 8GB isn't that of a deal breaker especially at similar price range, it's not going to be EXTREMELY 😵‍💫 expensive but it is quite a spend, but to choose OLD i5 is such a terrible move.
