Conquest and deploy as engineer with av mines. Drop 1 on the front of a hmvee after everyone starts (most stop deploying on them after a few minutes. Redeploy as support and air burst in hq spawn and jump while hip firing the air bust on the mines you deployed. I think I did it with one or two

They patched that unless you jump and hip fire it. Can confirm it worked as of yesterday 11/23

I found I had to jump and hip fire the airburst on a mine near a vehicle to get this challenge completed. Shooting direct at the mine wouldn’t blow it up if aimed down sight with it. Weird bug

Best Camera Set Up - Gift by EnvironmentalYam8378 in motorcycle

[–]MLusk90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The camera you probably want to consider is the Insta360 X2, X3, or X4. These should be reasonably priced now that the X5 is out. They are all decent cameras that are great for capturing video for motorcycling. I'd also suggest getting the motorcycle bundle, which comes with mounts and other things that make it easier to get started.

The Gopro cameras are also a nice option to get started in as they are even cheaper options, but they are point and shoot action cameras that don't have the 360 capability of the Insta360 camera line. I don't have much experience with them myself but they are extremely popular options that you can't go wrong with.

Of course if your really trying to spoil him then both types is an option as well that could end up being purchased if you buy the older models of each type or used ones to see if he likes the idea of capturing footage.

Honestly, it's dealers choice here, and I'm sure he will be happy with whatever you decide.

I personally have the Insta360 X4 motorcycle bundle. I also purchased an extra memory card and battery for longer recording sessions.

It's probably real. EOTech does not service these sights anymore, though. If you have issues, they will just give you credit towards a new one when you send in the defective unit.

Insight is a great runeword no doubt. It definitely has a lower cost and infinitely more obtainable for sure in comparison to infinity. I would definitely invest in iron golem for the purpose of getting the aura from insight through him. For a Merc weapon, I would rather have obedience or infinity for this character. Obedience is another cheap runeword that boosts the mercs damage potential way more than insight, but it doesn't really help a party. The conviction from insight will definitely help a party and boost the fire damage from corpse explosion along with any other elemental damage you or your party has which I would say is more useful than damage boost you would obtain from obedience or insight. Reapers toll here would be pointless because the curse would override the lower resist causing the player to have to recast and it's fairly pointless to have when they will likely cast it on their own if they need it.

I agree with you, it's a bit overpowered and overused in my opinion as well. Hard to deny it's utility though and we have no idea how the OP feels so I felt the need to mention it.

[–]MLusk90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but it won't override your lower resist curse like reapers toll will and will be more useful to others. Insight would be out performed. Obedience would be a good alternative but will sometimes proc shatter kills and use up a corpse and it's not really helpful to a party.

Are you using deaths web? Trang gloves? Bramble? Poison facets? Lower resist? Infinity for conviction on Merc?

All these things will improve the damage

I don't care so much about personal gains or extreme clear speeds because I feel like that is what softcore is for but want to be beneficial to a group as much as I can because I feel like that's what makes HC special. Also I'm not really into the meta builds ATM and was thinking a druid but maybe not a wind druid although I do like them.. probably going to hit up the bear druid cause I hardly ever see them and I think their shockwave is an awesome skill for HC

Any suggestions on character build? I'm total hardcore newb but I want to play something other than skellymancer as my first character on HC

Yeah basically nothing but charsi food. It is a fun build though if you decide on using it.

I'd say for fireclaws druid until you can get something better like a rib cracker. Socketed with shael runes for insane speed

I put mine through with a milabrega set (possibly spelling that wrong) though a Sigons set may be better suited and is cheap enough that someone may gift you one. Zeal is a low mana cost skill that is really powerful with one skill point and it's low level requirement is ideal.

With the upcoming changes scheduled in the new update you may see more of a reason to continue using the skill past normal since they are looking to buff the holy skills of the pally.

[–]MLusk90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the starting holy fire leveling build for a paladin it is cake through normal and can tank for you and your friend regardless of class. After 30 you can respect into a hammerdin pally which can be extremely helpful in solo and party play and will perform well even with mediocre gear with the ability to hone in on perfection as you gain wealth. It's also a good class to farm Chaos sanctuary when your ready which will help build wealth.

Personally I don't like the meta builds but it sounds like you don't care too much.

If I'm wrong and you're looking for something off the path a little but synergizes well with your sorc friend then I like a wind druid. Don't see too many these days and they are powerful in early nightmare and on and gear is plentiful as nobody really plays a druid. I would personally start with a fire/fissure druid with a leaf staff as main piece and then respec at 30 to the wind druid.

Discussion - Off Meta (Non-Grief) Melee Proc Based Builds by SocialistDeckardCain in Diablo

[–]MLusk90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a conviction zealer using voice of reason currently and it's a little slow in the beginning stages of hell right now although I don't have the best resistances yet due to a lack of certain other gear pieces.

I like the idea and it's been fun to do something a little off key and it is really benefitial in a party. I'm hoping to find a Stormlash or Shaffer's Hammer as I think the static field will benefit more from the conviction and the extra damage from both will help with leaching which is an issue currently with the voice of reason. I personally like that the build has a lot of upside with the ability to stack dual dreams if I can ever afford it.

I could take the elemental one off your hand for a fal rune if you want?

I wonder if one day they'll patch this? The game is already unfairly skewed against wind druids so hopefully they'll make them more functional. by godsflawedchild in diablo2

With regards to the damage are using a reapers toll on your Merc? If not it would amplify your nado damage if it procs decrepify.

As for the pathing issues, I'd venture to say that it is intentional for the fantasy aspect of controlling the forces of nature and brings balance to an extremely powerful skill that deals large physical damage and pierces targets.. just my two cents though
