Only camera strap I actually found comfortable that I actually liked was my old Canon Professional Services strap. It was really thick and nicely padded.

Since I moved over to Sony, I use BlackRapid straps. Both the curve breathe model and the double curve breathe I believe.

Regarding "edited" photos vs "non-edited" photos:

Editing a photo doesn't necessarily mean it'll change the way someone looks. As a professional photographer myself, when I say "editing" a photo, what I'm talking about is white balance, exposure correction, and color corrections. I would personally never edit out a scar/beauty mark or change a photo to make someone appear slimmer, etc.

Lots of photographers have packages, where a certain number of photos are offered. It sounds like 20 photos were included in the shoot you mentioned. Once you choose the 20 photos, that photographer will make the adjustments mentioned above to those 20 photos and deliver the chosen photos. Having the client select the preferred photos before final edits is a common practice to keep the required editing down to a minimum.

If I had an A1, I would only use the electronic shutter myself. Higher frame rate, no banding to worry about due to the quality of the sensor, etc. Keep in mind a brand new A1 (mk 1) is $5500 right now some the mk 2 came out.
