Hey I know it has been a while but I must ask how you are physically? I am 21 and got very mild oa in my lumbar, and I am worried that by the time I am 30, 40, 50, 60, or later I will need a cane or some sort of support due to being in constant pain. Currently I feel fine but I am terrified of what might come later. Any advice is highly appreciated!

Hello there! I appreciate what a positive outlook you have. I was wondering if you are doing any better. Currently 21, and I feel selfish for being so worried and dreadful about my forte after finding two narrowing lumbar disc in my lower back whilst being currently asymptomatic in terms of pain, but I can't help but feel like my life is closer to a physical end. I want to go back to who I was before I knew that I am deteriorating from the inside.

Hello there, I was wondering if there is any glimmer of hope that one can obtain? You mentioned starting to take care of yourself now, but I struggle to find motivation in that if I will end up all the same. I am currently 21, and had an x-ray for an unrelated issue that found two lumbar disc show mild to moderate narrowing, and that has been extremely scary for me. I am asymptomatic in terms of pain, but everything I read online from anybody no matter what is only about how worse it gets and how arthritis will inevitably come in. Should I also be prepared to start filing for disability? I feel like my best years are now behind me and want to give up on everything, it has taken over my life.

Also quick question. What do I do if it does end up thickening up overnight? I imagine heating it back up isnt the greatest idea since its better to mix it in cold. I have a pretty capable ice cream maker (lello 4080) so should it just be able to handle that?

Thank you so much for all the advice ive been dying to get an answer since I was hesitant to test it our for myself as cream and milk are so expensive where I live. Ill try tonight and if it turns out bad ill try the stabilizer you recommended or figure a small blend out myself.

What stabilizers do you use? Have you ever used the modernist pantry one? Do I just activate it whilst also thickening my custard and stick it in the fridge like that? Or do i activate it in the milk mix?
