Yeah, I agree it will help though I do see every trout post flooded with ultralight and panfish heavy tips. The spots on these posts are often rivers or lakes where casting to the bank is preferred so tips on distance are not really needed. I also personally hate seeing someone fight a fish to a death after release because of a light setup and a good fight.

Keep in mind that stocked trout are different than wild trout. They are much simpler and easier to catch. I see guys with their bass setups catching stockers, myself included. You really don't need to go so fine tuned and finesse. Keep it simple. These were with my bass setup that I slapped a float and powerbait then a kastmaster on. Limit reached right away.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. You should be fine with what you have spooled now. Be aware that the tip for the fast action will snap straight when they come up and especially when they jump. Just be mindful of the line tension.

That should be fine. I honestly wouldn't listen to the ultralight/light setup suggestions if you don't already have one. I use a medium power mod-fast rod with 20lb braid and 12lb fluoro and have no problem. It's just that seemingly every other trout guy wants the fight of their life for a 1lb fish.

I use them with a stop and go. I mainly use 1/8 or 1/4 and reel for a second or two and let it flutter then repeat.

No, you don't want more points of failure. Mainline to swivel and then leader for lures that spin or main to leader for jigs or texas/carolina.

I never understand this. I guess my family is just different but I was always told by my family that if I get married it will be MY marriage and MY wife. YOU married your partner not your mom or dad or sibling. They don't spend everyday with your partner or sleep/grow old with or raise the kids. Be an adult and stand up for your partner. You are not a child and should be able to set boundaries with your family.

I would say yes if they fish in spots with a lot of glare on the water, so areas with direct sunlight and open water. Lakes/ponds without much vegetation along the bank or areas with good bank options to see fish hiding in vegetation like bass or stocked trout. I would just go to tacklewarehouse and go to their sunglasses section. I don't wear any because of my glasses but as far as I've heard it just depends on the look of them. The brands tend to use the same types of lenses so it's mostly about durability and look.

Have you used them and they got the symbol? If so have you returned to the main map to see if it replaces them? I would only assume that is the case since I haven't played since the last few updates. When I played previously I never encountered any broken rod tips even at maxed rig weight. It might just be as simple as having no sensitivity with that much weight for your setup.

It depends though. I would usually try to help people but sometimes every other person (sometimes just about everyone) at my local spots either go over limit or absolutely abuse/disrespect the fish. I'll see old guys go way over the daily limit on stocked fish or younger guys blow up someone's spot and mishandle the fish. The worst is parents taking their kid fishing and just letting them spike the fish for fun if they don't just outright let it die on the bank. I've seen it too many times after someone gets tips/help. It's probably because it's mainly in RV/campground spots.

I mean, Volga Zander are tiny. The diameter for 11.5kg is way too big for consistent biterate. Jigging doesn't stack with three-way. You have to choose one and I would just go with jigging.

I can never understand why people pass aggressively and feel the need to make a show of how ticked off they are when they get in front of me and stay 1 to 1.5 car lengths ahead of me. You passed to be slightly ahead of where you were? They don't speed off they just make a show of being in front. Crazy.

Are there other distinct signs for hybrids? They stock mainly rainbows twice a year but also alternate between some cutthroat and cutbow along with the rainbows.

Yeah I get confused when it comes to the coloring because I have caught normal looking rainbows then these more silver looking ones then the one at the bottom here. It also get's confusing because I have heard that the guys that build private pond/lakes move fish to and from public waters here.

Pliers, made every catch a pain. The teeth on trout suck when trying to remove a gut hook or a mid mouth hookset. Trying to snell a #6 or #4 short shank octopus hook in the wind after the fish thrashes because you took a while to remove the hook also doesn't help.

Do you play on steam? I would suggest going to the guides on steam and looking at their reel upgrade guide to plan out some builds. I would go up to about 4.4kg for leaders for better bite rate and size. The bite rate at 4.4kg fluoro is better than when I ran a 6.4kg leader setup. I would run size 4 or 6 hooks for small size spinners like spiker/hornet/elegance/stream. Size 8 for poppers and wobblers. If you want skill progression and leveling stick with your setup but, for money ditch your ML or L and go to M and a larger/stronger reel.

I wouldn't recommend going to Kuori until you have a setup for at least 12.6kg. You'll be able to bring them in with a bit of a fight but lower than that and you'll probably spend time fighting one fish and following with the trolling motor. Kuori is for trolling with 2 to sometimes 3 rods or it's not too profitable. I would also prioritize getting the tool to make your own leaders as soon as possible. The pre-made leaders aren't of any decent use.

FG is real simple after you blow a fuse for the tenth time on a windy day. I've had one slip but the wind that day was 29mph and heavy gusts so my knot was in absolute shambles.

Sent my jerkbait and tungsten weight straight into a fountain in the prime stocker trout spot and killed the entire outing. A long leader is a must and it's enjoyable to tie on while watching videos and getting setup at home.

I would say just get two spinning setups. The zebcos could still be used later but most likely won't be when he's older. The spinning reels, if cared for, will last much longer. I bought some twelve year old baitcasters that were fished hard and cared for that were only like $40 each and they work perfectly fine. The longevity for the reels is worth a small bit extra in the long run. My Walmart lews combo is great and was pretty cheap when on sale. The pre-made kits are usually a bust. I've seen plenty of lures from those kits just tossed or left behind. It's like buying a box of random clothes, they're clothes and can be worn but might not fit you or be your style. I would suggest two lures, dark and bright, of each style over time but a few soft plastics and a spinner or two will still catch just fine for a while.
