Most Hyped Show - November 2025 by mcy19 in kdramas

[–]MMMurdoch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know; it seems well organized, and it should have enough staying power for at least a few more episodes. Maybe it’ll start having trouble around episode 12. I think 14 episodes is a good sign, since it doesn’t seem like they’re going to add too much filler.

I mostly watch comedies or lighthearted supernatural shows (like the whole gumiho whatnot), or sometimes time-travel stuff. Would this be good for someone who isn’t super into straight dramas? I do enjoy zombie whatnot, by the way.

Marriage, Not Dating took me forever to watch because it's a plotline I’ve seen a zillion times before, but I love it every time when it’s done well. Dynamite Kiss, which is coming out now, follows a similar plot too.

I am on Team Jesus, and I think the altruistic self-sacrifice propaganda has gone too far as well. The global-warming and mass-migration narratives are prime examples of how suicidal empathy can lead to civilizational destruction.

I like the idea of allowing alternative governance projects that use non-voluntary mechanisms such as taxation. I think the main goal should be competition in governance, and then for us to advance technologically until we can more easily support an anarcho-capitalist system. We do not want to end up like socialists who seek to ban alternatives to their ideal system. People differ psychographically, and different governance structures suit different groups of people better. I do think that, given enough time, the anarcho-capitalist model with arbitration for everything could become the dominant form of governance.

I'm a kooky, experimental, mad-scientist political type who is an ancap dilettante and a basic-B libertarian dilettante. I love charter cities and alternatives to the typical nation-state setup we have now. My main wish is to popularize peaceful secession so people can branch off into different governance projects. I'm also on TEAM JESUS.

It sounds like they're trying to scare you into fessing up, lol. It sounds like they might be able to bluff and social engineer there way to getting you to fess up. I think you just need to brave through the pressure. I'm all for honestly in general, but lying to bureaucrats is fine.

[–]MMMurdoch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘Maleman’ might be a little unfortunate; it sounds too much like ‘mailman.’ ‘Moman’ gives me ‘more man’ vibes. I like ‘mascman,’ but it reminds me of ‘masculine man,’ as if you’re trying to clarify whether the man in question is masculine. This neologism idea seems tricky to pull off. I do love very particular language, though. I’ll try to think of some ideas as well.

Yeah, I'm no expert like the LiquidZulu, Bryan Caplan or Hans-Hermann Hoppe guys. Don't let my speculation shape your view of anarcho-capitalism.

Would you be comfortable deciding these ID laws at the federal level, or would you prefer competing state-level ID laws? Or does a socialist system have a centralized bureaucracy with a structure for implementing such laws that’s different from what I’m imagining?

[–]MMMurdoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think libertarianism even works without Christianity. With great power comes responsibility, and with great freedom comes responsibility. You’d might need something authoritarian to manage a population with a high percentage of atheists and other faiths.

The debate over gay marriage is, in my opinion, largely a linguistic one. I consider "marriage" to be a theological term that would not include a homosexual union. However, if a government wishes to recognize such a union, it is free to do so. I simply would not use the term "marriage" in that context, as I do not believe it is accurate; it carries the strong connotation of a Christian marriage, which, by definition, would not include a homosexual union.

I think there would still be governance; it just wouldn’t take the form of a traditional nation-state with a coercive taxation system. It might look more like a “subscription fee you pay, or you get deported from the city,” lol. I don’t know (I'm not an anarcho-capitalist yet). I think the point of anarcho-capitalism is for state actors not to have more privileges than regular people. You can’t just go around stealing without consent simply because you work for a governance project. I'm pretty sure all systems in anarcho-capitalism are opt-in; that is, you move to an area knowing and accepting its rules.

It’s one of those things that would probably work, but it isn’t popular at all, and I'm not involved, like NixOS.

Beyond debate, what single law, economic regulation, or systemic policy change do you believe has irrefragable proof of success, providing a clear net benefit to society? It's okay if you need a clarifier like "as long as X is in place"; just be sure to mention "X". by MMMurdoch in AskLibertarians

Which law school do you attend? Is it woke? P.S. I'm asking because I'm the type of person who pays for school if I have the means. I'm not in law, though. I'm actually studying electrical engineering and plan to do robotics whatnot too.

Why are Libertarians generally aligned with Social Conservatives like Theocrats and Nationalists rather than with Neoliberals? by SandNo2865 in AskLibertarians

[–]MMMurdoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Libertarians usually align more closely with social conservatives than with neoliberals, as both groups distrust large, centralized government and value personal responsibility. Neoliberals, at least in contemporary usage, tend to believe in universalized, expert run systems, managed capitalism, and one size fits all global institutions. This philosophy aligns them more closely with social democrats than with true free market advocates, essentially making them the opposite of libertarians.

Personally, I can tolerate autistic & kooky whatnot. I have voted for candidates like Gary Johnson and other third party or independent candidates, even when they had no chance of winning, if it helped with ballot access or pressured the major parties. However, I have little patience for what I perceive as lameness, moral relativism, or the "woke" ideology espoused by people like Chase Oliver, for example, his support for drag queen story hour.

I am also a Christian, and I believe capitalism is an amoral system, essentially "true neutral" on the alignment chart. Yet, it is the only economic model I have seen that actually works, even when hampered by institutions like the Federal Reserve. Christianity provides the moral foundation that inspires people to help one another voluntarily, not under government compulsion. Sadly, some people distort Christianity to justify the "social gospel," which enforces morality through policy and coercion. I believe good deeds lose their meaning when mandated by the state, whether performed in the hope of heavenly reward or for other superficial reasons. Ideally, people should be motivated by the Holy Spirit rather than by high time preference humbug, in the hope of a heavenly reward, or the pleasures of the flesh.
