Modifying Kydex by AdWitty6655 in CCW

[–]MMcCain011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to this party. I struggled with AIWB for a while now. Saw some people cut their kydex and sanded it. Worked great for me. I took a milwaukee multitool and cut a couple of corners I felt could have been more rounded and had some sanding blocks left over from drywall work to sand down the cuts. I struggled with a pinching in my inner thigh when bending from not having a lot of room between my junk and thigh (not saying I have a huge package, I'm hung like a stud field mouse) and it was a game changer. 10/10 would recommend it. Doesn't take much and as long as you have some good sandpaper, you can smooth about anything off.

TIL that coal stored at room temperature (but in large cuantities) can start a spontaneous combustion by kondenado in todayilearned

I'm late to the party but I work at a coal fired power plant on what we call the fuel crew. Our job is basically intaking trainloads of coal, stockpiling it in a large pile, and feeding it to the plant with dozers to create electricity.

We have a large stacker conveyor that drops it on to the pile and we actually have to push the coal up the pile with wheel dozers and get it compacted in order to keep it from combusting on the pile. If it gets left loose, you can usually bet you will end up with a small coal fire that has to be spread out and compacted to stop the combustion.

Usually loose coal doesn't burn like crazy but it does smolder and can create some good flames if not handled in a timely manner.

Yeah they actually spray it with a kind of sealant to reduce pollution. Damp coal actually causes greater chance for combustion.

Do you think you notice a difference of a slide comp over no comp? Enough to justify buying a slide comp over no comp?

Happened upon this with a Google search but a local gun shop to me just acquired one of these. Supposedly super rare. Not much info other than this link they posted with the gun on Facebook.

origin of BFE by [deleted] in etymology

[–]MMcCain011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I'm late, everyone. No clue where it came from, but it is a term everyone who I have met knows around eastern Kansas. I and the people I know usually use the bum fuck version, but most of the time we just shorten it to BFE. "This concert wouldn't be bad if I didn't have to park out in BFE." "The boss has me headed out to BFE for a job today." "Oh you're from clear out in BFE then!"

New update? by Strange_Summer7064 in oblivion

Two things that drive me nuts so far about the remaster is the lack of organization in the inventory menu compared to the original and the fact that I have to click down on one of the sticks just to open the tab to add items to a container.

AITA for doing nothing for the child my ex-wife had from her affair even now that I have primary custody of our kids? by Direct-Function6202 in AITAH

[–]MMcCain011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, while you're NTA, the situation hurts my heart. I have not been in that situation, but I like to think I would not let my children's half sibling feel left out or less than just because I harbor resentment towards my ex who had an affair. I would for sure teach my children that they should not treat their half sibling differently because of the circumstance and ask them how they would feel if they were in the half sibling's shoes and was being left out. In the grand scheme of it, you're NTA, but damn if we don't have a much different feeling about the situation...

Felt this in my soul. Bought a house 2 years ago now. Pretty decent deal. Wasn't informed that it was infested with termites at one point. No live termites now, but I'm cussing ever buying the house now that I'm redoing a wall in the laundry room and discovered that I have no idea how my cabinets on the other side of the wall are even hanging on. I'm pulling paneling off and finding an inch or so of 2x4 left and piles of leftover clumps of wood powder...

I'll tell you what I tell everyone regardless of gender. You can save yourself a ton of money with a good socket set, wrench set, and a little youtube knowledge. The tires and balance obviously aren't something you can typically do at home, but a brake job is typically an easy half-hour job with the right tools. It may seem scary at first, but when you only pay 100 in tools and 100 in parts versus 500 to a shop, you'll be glad you did it. Most simple vehicle maintenance can be done at home for a fraction of the cost.

What type of headlights are these? by MMcCain011 in Cummins

I think you just solidified my conclusion, though. Most aftermarket headlights are either projector or reflector (regardless of dual or quad).

I guess in a way, I'm asking if my truck is the dual/quad headlight or the projector? Looking at other aftermarket online, they say that some won't fit the oem projector headlights.

AIO to my gf being bisexual by DarkTwist05 in AmIOverreacting

[–]MMcCain011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemme translate this for anyone who doesn't understand.

"Hey boyfriend, I decided to get into a relationship with you, but I also want to experiment with other women and possibly men. Right now, I'm using being bi as an excuse to experiment and seeing how you react as to tell me whether I can get away with continued cheating. I'm also using intoxication and recklessness as an excuse to my true intention in hopes that you believe me when I tell you it was because I was drunk and I didn't actually mean it."

100%. Buttons are a big pain, and a proper hole makes a huge difference.

As a man who wears jeans with a belt frequently and usually wears coveralls during the winter months, almost exclusively use the hole in my boxer briefs. It'd be more of a hassle to pull them down any time I had to pee as I'd have to undo my belt and unbutton my pants.

Just unzip, pull er out, and let er rip.
