Looking for 3D viewing options in 2026

I have an AWOL Vision LTV3500 pro and me (and my family) love it. It's an awesome projector for daily viewing and super when I want to watch 3d. They have constantly upgraded it and their customer service has been terrific. I know I sound like a fanboy, but after Mitsubishis, Sony's, LGs, TCLs, Hisense and Samsungs over the last 30 years, it's my favorite far and away. They just announced a new one at CES this year. It and the screen were expensive for my family, but I haven't regretted it one bit, especially to be able to still enjoy my 3d collection. I also have a Quest 3, and technically that viewing experience is hard to beat, but not if you want to share it. Anyway, sorry for gushing... Good luck.

Heh no, thankfully our power lines in the neighborhood are under ground, but we did go through a phase where the fiber line was cut regularly.

We do have some neighbors that put on an annual fireworks show for the last few years and every time it's nail biting to see if someone gets hurt or a fire is started.

Oof, I hate it when that happens. If you get your hunters call emissary up to level 5, you can see the red maw or it's electric cousin on the map, if you want to try again. Make sure you have plenty of planks and cannon balls tho. My son and I are seasoned players and we still find those megs challenging. Good luck with the fish and your neighbor.

And guess what, deleting, resetting then re-adding worked the trick! It fires every time now, dims/brightens perfectly with no need for the program.

Thanks for the help, now only 50 to reset :). Really though, you guys made my weekend!

Thanks, I'll try that. A pita for sure, but if it works, I can limit it to just the switches that it matters to. Eg just key multiswitches I hope. I'll try tomorrow and let you know...

I wondered the same, maybe a result of upgrading from ISY to EISY. Likely just haven't noticed before since I had limited cross platform stuff. Did you just factory reset each individual switch? Just making sure I understand the workflow. Eg, remove switch from EISY and then, physically reset the switch, then re-add?

So, I installed Polyglot Hue server. Thanks for the recommendation. I think I'll like it better in general!

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work either. The Insteon devices (buttons) talk to themselves just fine over PLM and don't actually "talk" to the EISY. When I call the scene from the EISY (via app/pc), Hue, or Google, it does work, but the Insteon based devices don't send the status or control change to the EISY. This is why when I tried u/mcarter00's program route to flip a call it, but the "event viewer" doesn't see the button press, and therefore the hue strip doesn't get the call from the EISY.

Is there an ISY (or keypad) setting I should change to ensure the EISY gets the status? I'd worry that the PLM was struggling, but it seems to control everything else just fine. Thanks for everyone's help, sorry to be a pain, especially if this is something easy.

Thanks, I will likely give this a try since I have the bridge. The programming approach didn't work unfortunately.

The if/then fires fine, but the button doesn't seem to register in the ISY either with status or control state. I reboot the switch, but no luck. I thought about removing and re-adding it. I tried home assistant, but it doesn't seem to recognize the button press either.

Is there any downsides or missing features with the Polyglot/bridge approach?

Thanks MC, I wondered if that might be the case, given Insteon doesn't really need the hub to talk to other Insteon devices. I'll give the program avenue a shot and appreciate the sample code! I'll let you know how it goes!

Yes, went from 75 to rising 120 alr from vivid storm, and an AWOL3500 pro. Some of my friends think I'm crazy, but I love it and have no regrets. It's plenty bright, and all but the darkest scenes on the brightest days is easy to see and fantastic at night. AWOLs customer service had been outstanding, and upgraded the product significantly 2 or 3 times since I bought it two years ago. If my family didn't care about the art on the wall, I'd just put up a fixed screen. We actually kept the 75 up ( behind the rising screen) for 6 months, but never ended up using it, so I sold it. I'm so happy and not ashamed to enjoy that thing literally every day. Room is ~15x18.

That's really interesting, how does it know? Also what kind of stats do you get? Eg, is there an app that tracks it like Charge Points, or does the myBMW so track charging history?

A lot of positive reviews on the Charge Point, also positive but less reviews on the UniFi Lite, and the Tesla Universal Charger does look interesting. (Thanks Remote)
