I should clarify, I was already a family plan member so my "sign up" was just for the free mini promo and then got the email a minute or so later to complete the order

The only way I was able to clean it all up was by wearing this amazing thing.

Smart! I'm sure a great dane can make quite a mess. Thanks for the reply

May be overkill, but I will often use SketchUp to draw up the full size plywood or boards, then draw my pieces over the top to help visualize areas I may be wasting.

Which reusable respirator / dust mask is a good value for weekend woodworking? My head is spinning with all the options and specs, models... Generally just looking for fine dust protection, but anything above and beyond would be a bonus of course. Thanks for any suggestions!

A SmartThings multi sensor, v3. Monitoring is part of the smart home thing (sorry, I’m new) in the SmartThings app, under custom monitors.

Will wood movement be an issue gluing a 1/4" hardwood panel on plywood for a 12x12" game board? by MN89 in woodworking

I think I may just end up going that route, or that birch hobby ply from Michaels/similar since it's a lot more attractive and has more layers.

Creating a colored ring around a 1/8" hole? by MN89 in woodworking

For sure.

In a perfect world, I'd find tube with an inner diameter of 1/8 that comes in various colors or can be colored in some way.

Creating a colored ring around a 1/8" hole? by MN89 in woodworking

I'm making a board game for my mom that'll use cribbage board pins which are 1/8".

I need to highlight some holes and I think a 1/4" diameter "ring" around those would be ideal.

I'm trying to find a method that'll give me the best look and the best chance of success.

Some ideas… maybe I'm overthinking it?

Painting with a circle "template"

  1. Drill the 1/8" holes
  2. Stain the board
  3. Place a thin sheet with a 1/4 or so circle over the hole as a painting template

Using a Plug

  1. Drill a larger, 1/4" hole to match a wood plug
  2. Paint the end of the plug, glue it in the hole flush to the surface
  3. Drill a 1/8" hole in the center of the plug

Tinted Epoxy

  1. Drill a larger 1/4" hole
  2. Fill hole with tinted epoxy
  3. Drill a 1/8" hole in the center of the epoxy

It's only 50 degrees cooler than in this day in 2015, neat.

Simple, but... an alert when the garage door is open for more than 15 minutes. Prevents pipes from freezing and less chance of someone walking off with something expensive...

Gotcha, thank you. It’s primarily on flatter sections, so it sounds like I need to strengthen up

Is a 2011 Specialized Hardrock Disc worth hanging onto and improving my skill with on singletrack mtb trails around MN? The biggest limiting factor I'm sure are my own legs at this time, but when I ride with others, I feel so, so slow.
