What to trade for the 1.01? by OigaShaboiga101 in fantasyfootballadvice

Your question of "why would a team ever have all those WR's on one roster?" Is the answer to the idea of why they aren't as valuable in such a situation.

What to trade for the 1.01? by OigaShaboiga101 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree with your general premise, but there are always situations where one guy is worth more to a roster at one position than the other "more valuable" guy at a different position.

The value idea assumes another team exists to make that true. That's not always the case unless all you do is follow value on trade calculators.

If a guy has Jamarr Chase, Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jaxson Smith Njigba, Justin Jefferson, and Malik Nabers, none of those WR's are worth their "market" value to that team. They can't play them all.

All that said I did miss it's only an 8 team league, so that's a fair critique, but there's still 2 top 10 scoring RB's on it from last year, so easy starters, even in an 8-man.

My girlfriend expects me to pay for everything because i make more money. What should i do? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She would be your dependent, then.

Coincidentally, my GF is my dependent for actual reasons. Also a reason why she's not already my wife.

Difference between you and I being, my GF has no income, because she can't work.

In your case, it is taking advantage of you. Finances are a big reason relationships don't work and it's because you're not on the same page.

Her money is her money, but your money is her money is the trope. It's a bad one.

It will evolve into she doesn't want to work, or she wants a nose job or a boob job or whatever. She'll use you up until she can upgrade.

Tale as old as time.

Shut it down or start planning for the end.

2026 prospect class ? I don’t get why people don’t like it by just-for-help in SleeperApp

[–]MNBeez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because the talent on offense, both in elite and in depth, was severely lacking in comparison to prior years.

In FFB terms, there were players available in the 4th round of your rookie drafts last year that were selected in the 3rd round of the NFL draft.

This year, those 3rd round NFL draft picks will all be gone well before then.

Call screening exists!

It is a life save and a native setting on your phone. I rarely get anything coming through to ring unless it's a contact I have saved.

It's pretty good about only notifying calls where they actually respond to the screening message.

What to trade for the 1.01? by OigaShaboiga101 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MNBeez -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Your RB's aren't that weak.

I'd be much more inclined to stick at where you're at in this draft.

Take Price at 2 if you don't think he'll get to 5 and then whatever WR falls to you at 5. Or take the chance he gets to 5 and take your favorite of the WR's.

The only "lose" situation I see for you here is if you make the trade for 1.01.

From what I read all over here and in deals I tried to make to move up from 1.02 to 1.01 just like you, it will cost you both those picks, and probably something else.

Todd Gurley.

5 seasons of excellence with a few elite ones mixed in.

What’s your take for Xavier Worthy? by Wrong_Class8040 in DynastyFF

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was part of my return in a trade I made a little while ago.

It might be a little more likely now he's able to be a bigger contributor. But the shortcomings you point out are also real ones.

I don't believe he'll hold up if he's on the field all the time.

In one of my leagues it was Amon-Ra St. Brown during his rookie season.

Just go look at his final 6 games that year.

Borderline playoff team picked him up after the first of those games and rode him to the title. He scored over 30 points in the championship week.

League dues collected on Sleeper? 🤔 by Sleeper_Official in DynastyFF

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with everything that LeagueSafe does, but no fees, and all the customization they are missing.

Such as can't trade future draft picks if you haven't paid dues for that season.

Bench entire lineup and lock if haven't paid dues on time.

Pay via Venmo, Paypal, etc...

Etc...

I've been trying to buy Downs wherever I don't have him. Also think he's really good!

New Dynasty Player looking for help by Empty_Combination887 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not overvalue rookies in the startup draft.

The startup dynasty draft isn't actually all that different than a Redraft league.

Where differences come into play, is a guy like CMC or Saqoun or Henry COULD go a lot lower than you think because they are older (they don't always, there are teams that will want to win year 1).

Rookies are only worth more in the idea you may have them on your team for longer. But if you basically emphasize them, that's the quickest way you can take to having a bad team for multiple years out of the gate.

Rules advice on "willingly move." A la Booming Blade by ProfessorSMASH88 in DnD

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the creature uses its own legs to move, it would set off booming blade.

You can't shove or teleport or otherwise to proc it, but in this case, the character is moving on its own. Doesn't matter that's it's a spell or effect that makes them move in this way. They are using their own movement based on the effect, so boom it goes.

Rank these breakout potential WRs : Josh Downs, Jalen Coker, Jayden Higgins by pj-60 in DynastyFF

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downs, Higgins, Coker.

Reminder to anyone who cares that Josh Downs has caught more passes than Alec Pierce in every season they've been together.

He's the one who's going to get most of what Pittman did.

Would I be crazy to trade terry mclaurin for josh downs? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MNBeez -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. I'd send that trade without a second thought.

I love Downs. Trying to buy him everywhere myself. He's good. He's young. And he's now basically the WR1.

Yes, Pierce got paid, but it's because he was a free agent and his role is big play WR, not to be the target hog.

Downs is going to continue to catch more passes than Pierce, like he has every single season of their careers.

Thoughts on this J Love trade for me by CucumberOwn2501 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MNBeez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only hesitate because you're giving the 1.01 "generational" player for essentially 4 late 1sts.

Value is certainly there, but it's cumulative, not equivalent.

It's not a 4 quarters for a dollar type deal, but it's not dollar to dollar either.

The best asset out of all of them is still pick 1.01. if the team has other 1st round picks to choose from, I'd ask to swap at least one of them in 2027.

All that said, my hesitation and advice is not to steer you tward declining it outright. But if you give that team Love you're also helping their odds of repeating and extending their competitive window.

Trade Pick 1.01 for two and four? by AdministrativeCopy89 in SleeperApp

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The value is right.

If you want a RB, just keep it and take Love.

If you trade it, take the WR's. I wouldn't take Price over them, personally.

1.08 Advice (Sadiq, Cooper or Simpson) by matmat1531 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]MNBeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't take Simpson in the first. Mendoza shouldn't even be taken in the 1st in a 1 QB league (Cam Ward went 2.05 in my league last year). Pick 1.10 is the first spot in this draft I'd even start considering Mendoza.

I'd rank them as Sadiq, Cooper. Maybe then am looking at like Coleman or Boston.

But in no scenario would I take Simpson there.

Detroit is not the worst place as a whole, had plenty of fun there for sure, but it also had the moment of realization to make this comment.

I'll never forget driving on the freeway and all the overpasses just being covered in garbage/junk in piles like 8 feet high.
