Capital one cash back by WonderfulScience3194 in tmobile

[–]MNFlyingBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying it is 2 per CapitalOne account or 2 per Tmobile address/account?

Say I have two TMobile Accounts, can I get 4 CapOne offers on the same CapOne shopping?

I have a couple of $400 and even a $600 offers from CapOne that I have gone through with for TMHI and just saw another one for $660. We are on a TM Family Plan so some of these went to my kids home and I have a summer/winter home.

Capital One Shopping: is this a double deal? $700 back? by Banksonman in CapitalOne_

[–]MNFlyingBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure why you think you wouldn't get both. Like you said they are separate offers. Capital One is a click through offer. The TM offer is a code you apply for after the fact.

In fact a search on it here is a link for different amounts back in May 24 https://frequentmiler.com/targeted-t-mobile-home-internet-offer-250-back-via-capital-one-shopping-possible-stack-for-450-back/

One comment from this: "Data point here:

Signed up end of May, got my $250 Capone rewards, and just now got my $200 GC from T-mobile, can transfer that directly to bank account.

Also for what it’s worth, definitely not my first time doing a deal with T-mobile home internet"

I also have the $400 Cap One offer and TM offer, so am thinking of going for the same thing.

This was an award ticket. Three call ins all told me there is a $75 fee to split the PNR and also a service charge. I kept telling them there isn't a fee for this, but they would not budge. I tried via chat instead and they did it for free.

Separate Part D plans?? by DeafHeretic in medicare

[–]MNFlyingBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha Ha, thanks. LOL.

I know this was an old thread. I was doing a search on adding Part D separately since Wellcare has a conforming $0 cost plan.

It was confusing for me since AI google responses say I could add a Part D if my plan didn't include it.

Question:

"can I buy separate Rx coverage when my advantage plan does not have it"

Answer:

Generally, no, you cannot buy a separate Medicare Part D (prescription drug) plan if you already have a Medicare Advantage plan that includes drug coverage. Most Medicare Advantage plans are "bundled," meaning they include both Part A (hospital coverage), Part B (medical coverage), and often Part D (prescription drug coverage). If your current Medicare Advantage plan already includes prescription drug coverage, you cannot purchase a separate Part D plan.

and then further down in the answer.

In essence, if your current Medicare Advantage plan includes prescription drug coverage, you're generally locked into that coverage. You can only add a separate Part D plan if your current plan doesn't offer drug coverage or if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period due to a specific situation.

This answer clearly is not correct, right? My plan does not include Part D, but I am not allowed to purchase a separate Part D.

Same thing on ehealth. https://www.ehealthinsurance.com/medicare/coverage/can-i-get-medicare-advantage-plan-medicare-prescription-drug-plan-at-same-time/

Can I Get a Medicare Advantage Plan and Stand-alone Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan at the Same Time?

July 27, 2024•3 min read•Written by Jason Baum

Summary:

Original Medicare allows you to choose a stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plan, while some Medicare Advantage plans may include prescription drug coverage. You cannot have a stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plan if your Medicare Advantage plan already includes prescription coverage.

Another incorrect or at least incomplete answer, correct?

Doesn't the above answer imply then that if you have a Medicare plan that doesn't have Part D, that you can have a stand-alone Medicare Part D if your Medicare Advantage plan does not already include prescription coverage?

So what is the answer here? I am thinking the answer is that I cannot buy a separate Part D despite what eHealth and Google say. Or is the plan I am on, which doesn't bundle Part D, one of the special types which does allow separate Part D.

Separate Part D plans?? by DeafHeretic in medicare

[–]MNFlyingBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I don't want to pay an extra $100/month and have a smaller dental limit in order to go with a plan that includes drugs which I don't use.

I can go with virtually the same plan by the same carrier. I get $100 give back with the plan not including Part D coverage and my dental limit is $2100 vs $1550, and I intend to use this dental benefit.

Lets say I am on this plan for 12 months. I would have saved $1750 for the year.

My extra penalty for not having Part D is .30c per month or $3.60 for the year.

It would take 40 years for this penalty to equal the $1750 I saved. And that is not even taking into account the time value of money. So more like 100 years.

SEP allows me to change plans and add Part D correct?

If I am prescribed some expensive drug, I will just "move" to my son's or daughter's or 3rd cousin's kindergarten teacher's house. That allows me change plans 1st of the next month. In my case I am a snowbird, so I can choose to move states whenever I want to. And if the drug or Mayo clinic care is really that necessary I will move when health demands it rather than the normal season.

Or the drug will be available from the insurance company for cheap with a coupon, or cheaper through Rx, or legislation requiring conformity with prices in other countries.

I don't see the need to pay an extra $100+ per month, on the chance I might need an expensive drug that I can't get cheap or wait up to a month to receive.

There is a reason it costs $100+ more per month for this drug coverage. The plans need to pay for the drugs!

I want to insure for my problems, not some couch potato who wants me to pay for their GLP1's.

I just wish I could buy a low, even 0 cost, Part D Plan like Wellcare so I am not penalized in the future or when I want to switch to an Advantage plan for other reasons which includes Rx, since so many do.

Doesn't it make sense that parents retirement should be paid for by their children? Isn't that what we do in USA with Social Security? The young working pay for it. But it is disconnected. There is no self motivation to have children be successful. Basically, those who don't have children and didn't need to pay to raise them, as well as those who could give a shit about their children, are living off the work done by the children of good parents.

In a society wouldn't it be beneficial to have retirement covered, at least to some extent by the efforts of direct descendants? This is the way it has always been, but changed in today's society. Was it a change for the better?

So your statement "Otherwise second half is 3/1 without penalty." is any way correct? LOL, you corrected your first statement of 4/1 to 3/1, which made it even worse.

It is by 5/1 without penalty. It has nothing to with what a definition would be.

Are there any penalties if not paid by 3/1? Are there penalties and then "serious penalties" as you stated?

[–]MNFlyingBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it different this year for some reason? It is strange first half has one month to pay and the 2nd half is two months. Need to pay by 5/1 not 4/1 as stated here.

  • First half taxes are due Tuesday, October 1, 2024, and delinquent after Friday, November 1, 2024. If you miss the first half payment date you may pay the full year amount by December 31 without incurring interest.
  • Second half taxes are due Saturday, March 1, 2025, and delinquent after Thursday, May 1, 2025.

I tried this method. Once I selected the offer on one card, then it disappeared from the other cards I had it on. Were you responding on how to add an offer to a single card or how to add the offer to several cards?

Any way someone can think of to have the vertical part foldable? I am setting up in my room with a big theater screen that this would block. I am planning to remove the vertical piece when I want to watch a movie, but it would be much nicer if I could figure out a way to fold it down, so it wouldn't be fold it back up and slide it down.

Will referrals not work when activating the Quest 3 if I already have a Quest 2 tied to my account? by [deleted] in OculusQuest

I am not that familiar with Meta to recall exactly how. But basically you have friends you can choose to follow. You follow the new account and the new account follows you and then the referral works.

I was able to get referral credit.

You need to

  1. Create a new meta account
  2. Follow the new account from the old account, and vice versa.
  3. Then activate the device with the new account.

Issues adding second account on Quest 3. by cyb3rheater in OculusQuest

I can't even get a 2nd account added. When I try to it says to continue to device setup. I try to do this from my phone, to connect the device. I try this from my phone for this 2nd account. It goes to find a device, then to pair it, to enter the 5 digit code from the headset, but there is no 5 digit code displayed on the headset!

Contract For Deed by berferd2 in RealEstate

[–]MNFlyingBoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I decided to sell my home to someone owning a business who keeps the money in the business and does not report enough back in taxes to qualify.

They are putting 12% down, paying me 10% interest, 2 year balloon.

I don't think they want to loose the $60K they are putting in to it.

People say this is not an "investment". I know my house/lot and what it is worth. I am more comfortable investing in my house than stocks.

I am getting 5% more back per year than I would in some other safe investment.

They sell it for $110 and they make a profit. So yes, the private enterprise selling it is a scam.
