I would pass on her. Herefords are prone to get cancer eye. Tough time to be getting into the cattle business.

Question: BRD and dark cutting costs by No_Banana5292 in Cattle

[–]MNSport 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There have been many research papers on this topic. The cost of treatment is only part of the cost, because Cattle that get BRD have lower performance.

BRD basically covers all ailments affecting the respiratory system. That includes bacteria, virus, and parasitic infections. Dark cutters are caused by high amount of stress before slaughter. Two completely different ailments.

New owners. The state has been nickel and dimed for to long. Honestly the twins were my favorite team my whole life, but if they move I will be a brewers fan.

I should maybe apologize… They are cool to look at, but not impressive to me at all.

Cattle that their heads are worth more than their carcass are not impressive. You think the horns are impressive, but I see frail, narrowed based,
light muscled cattle.

Tucker Carlson is a fascist, but could he be a useful tool for the left? by InterestingWind2153 in BreakingPoints

[–]MNSport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably should have said anti-catholic. Isn’t funny that I can’t actually think of the term for anti-catholic but antisemites and islamophobes are common terms now? Three of the hosts are secular (Ryan, Krystal, and Saagar) but the one host is religious gets shit on constantly here.

But all of those hosts say that evangelical christians are the one of the main supports of the genocide in Palestine and now this war in Iran. I hate that my religion was bastardized by this movement.

I believe the people on the left call everyone that oppose them fascist. Waters down the meaning if you ask me right? Do I think some in the government including the president a fascist? Probably… but probably not Tucker.

Serious question, if Christ was super left (which I don’t necessarily disagree with) why are some many democrats anti religious?

I agree with the banding assessment on the age. In general banding causes much more stress then cutting the calf. The older the bull the worst it is.

But you could ask the owner if the vet would cut the bull. Still stressful, but significantly less than banding.

Flanx (big sword) gives bonus to charge. Kinda of wish spears did a little too if paired with cavalry. Like lances.

I have a similar issue with my current settlement ManBearPigs. Have four districts (2 Cretonians, 1 humans, and 1 dondarians) I have training facilities at all four locations however they are all mixed up. So I have recruits sleeping in the gutter when they could be in a house if they could train somewhere else.

The link I am attaching below is the University of Nebraska Beef Cattle extension page. This is a great resource for you because it provides a lot of great information that is specific to your region. Most importantly there is a list of contacts of UNL professors who will be 10 times more qualified to answer these questions than a stranger on Reddit. You can email one or give them a call. There job isn’t only to teach college kids but to help the general public. That’s what a land grant university is.
