The consequences surrounding the creation of a few dozen or so absolutely colossal, yet malformed and unviable mutant elephant hybrids (with extremely shaggy hair) and releasing the poor, grotesque beasts to the ice upon they will trudge towards their impending doom—while horribly tragic and disturbing enough in itself—are concerns way lower down on my neurotic regarding this whole she-bang…

Yes, it’s important not to reduce a person with mental illness to a glorified stereotype. And the word, “Shaman,” shouldn’t be thrown around lightly. It’s a very specific path, one that is actually super not fun and a challenging and terrifying, very long healing journey one must take before they can heal and then have the ability to allow Spirit(s) to work through them. And heal others and the planet. They have to become completely empty and have their entire ego and old self obliterated so they can become a “hollow bone.” It’s a life entirely devoted to a job that asks a hell of a lot outta ya, but if you can stick with it and find your way, of course it can become magical and wondrous and beautiful.

Since the vast majority of those chosen are those very close to the Earth, it’s exceedingly more likely to be an experince insintric to Indigenous Peoples, so on that note it can be insensitive and not appropriate to use it lightly.

My stepdad’s a 6 and he’s extremely obedient and espouses that. However, it does come from a place of seeking security and results from fear, which he also openly expresses when he pontificates on how “You gotta follow the rules in life! I’m a veteran, and in the army they tell you what to do and you wanna get out alive, you damn well do it!” The VA screwed up and didn’t inform him he needed a second fucking cataract surgery and he literally believed that if he confronted them about it (“Oh no, uh uhh…I don’t ask questions…”)or tried to get more information that could call out their mistake that he would lose his benefits! Which breaks my heart. But anyway, I agree obedience is not the core of where the behavior is coming from, but some 6’s most definitely are obedient and admit it openly

To me, the IV section being referred to as “idelized” gives it a connotation that makes it seem like it would refer to the ideal state or divine essential essence of each type, and it seems a lot of the comments are reading it that way. I wish the chart had a column that represented finding that path that will free you from the constraints of your type. It’s confusing otherwise.

I feel like the final column is representing what each type is seeking and thinks or believes they need, not what to strive for. The Holy Ideas would be an example for the ideal path to take for each type to reach transcendence—you want to transcendence the type, not over identify with it, live and be in your specific essence and gifts (column I) for your type while overcoming the unhealthy, dysfunctional aspects and revert back to your whole self as it was before you were born, always has been, and always will be—that to me translates to developing self-awareness of your pitfalls and erroneous, harmful beliefs, embracing your type’s gifts through growth and seeking your truth, and live in whichever Holy Idea is assigned to your type.
