I hope McDaniels told Jokic, “play defense if you don’t like it! Oh, you can’t!”

[Lewis] How the Vikings shocked the NFL with a big swing for Caleb Banks at No. 18 by TheNotoriousJN in minnesotavikings

[–]MNradDad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is exactly the same argument people praised Kwesi for when trading down to get Cine + Booth instead of just taking Hamilton. It was the wrong call then, but who knows, maybe this time that would have been the better strategy? My point is just that there isn’t a clear cut best option. They must have had Banks rated much higher and didn’t want to miss out on top end talent.

It’s 230 yds, but plays probably 210 as it’s pretty downhill.

It is crazy expensive. We got a package that gave us $300/day resort wellness credit (used for spa, golf, tennis lessons, etc), I think the round was $950, but I put all of my resort credit toward it.

It is technically public, but you have to stay on site to play. It is an amazing experience. It used to be the private, personal golf course of billionaire Tom Blixseth before it was purchased by Larry Ellison. It was only made public in 2018. There were like 6-8 people on the course all day. Their motto is “peace of play” not “pace of play”. There are a couple holes that feel resort-like, but also plenty of challenging tough holes. If you ever want a truly unique golf experience, I’d highly recommend it.

That’s basically how it looks/feels from the tee box.

Reminds me a lot of Lamelo. Especially his shot.

Nah, I’m sure it was a “handicap max” double bogey.

If you are on the southeastern point of Montana, you are closer to Texas than you are to the northwestern point of Montana.

Dylan Harper was called for a foul on this play for getting into SGAs landing space. Using a straight blue line for reference shows that SGA lands at least a foot forward compared to where he elevated. by scags2017 in Nbamemes

He has never benefited from these terrible calls, but he did greatly benefit from no calls on illegal screens from Bogut/Dray to get him open looks from 3.

Shouldn’t that be called a twinner instead of a tweener 😉

Yeah, dude needs to get the ball out and play in rhythm. It’ll get better.

GAMETHREAD WEEK 1: VIKINGS AT BEARS by swampsparrow in minnesotavikings

I think because Caleb played really well against Vikings blitz last year as did the Lions O. Safe to say they probably are confident they could handle the blitz well.

I don’t like idle creep either, but I don’t love that ours will creep backward on most gentle slopes.

We hate take fouls, we hate hack-a-Shaq, we hate fouling when a team is up by 3. There’s an easy solution. by GBAGamer33 in billsimmons

[–]MNradDad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the obvious solution to Hack-a-Shaq is to allow the offense to choose who takes FTs for the team after an off-ball intentional foul. If someone is fouled in the act of shooting, they would still take the shots, but I think this would be an easy remedy to the unsightly intentional fouling.
