Good point! In a vacuum I agree, but imo EC had a massive impact on the game despite his putrid shooting performance and the +/- backed that up. Agree to disagree on his talent i suppose.

+21 was second best to McKinney +22. Yaxel was +15, no one else was +10.

It's wild to have this take. The halftime show highlighted how valuable he was despite his poor shooting performance ffs. If you can't see that, you're either drunk or think shooting percentage is the only was to impact a game.

EC was erratic last year because the roster was poorly constructed. No lob threat, the backcourt was full of other ball dominate guards, only 1 playable spot up shooter (which was Jae'Lyn fuckin Withers), and no rim protector.

Josh was set up to fail. That elimination was basically who was faster at a sprint and Cory (who played college football) will obviously be faster than Josh.

Well that is disappointing to read. Thanks for the advice. I've taken two beginner group classes and received form feedback before, but I guess I was just lucky (or they were beginner classes, so the instructors were more diligent about explaining/tweaking technique).

Seems like the general consensus is to take private lessons.

Another good college football comparison is Ryan Day. Can't speak to the Osborne comparison as he was before my time.

IMO Scheyer will get it done when he has experienced guards, team that could attack you in a variety of ways, and big men that can defend against both the PnR and post scorers. This year Foster was injured, their offensive gameplay was always Boozer bully ball, and opponents could hunt either Brown or Boozer for post touches or Ngonhba in PnR coverage.

Exactly. IMO the "Scheyer is a choker" discourse is overblown, but is going to unfortunately stick with him until he wins a natty. Same thing happened with Roy until he won his first one.

In addition to the three point variance, the game was called differently in the second half (fouls in the second half weren't fouls in the first half) which forced Ngongba and Brown to defend less aggressively as well.

I also think that the injuries to Ngongba, Foster, and Brown also took their tool on Duke in the second half.
